If you like seafood and a nice view, you will definitely like this place. But who doesn’t? I’m not a fan of sea food and I had a great time here yesterday. They have some main courses that are not seafood and might have meat or pork, but don’t bother. They are not nice and you shouldn’t expect a sea food restaurant to have nice pork. I had the tiger shrimp for a starter and although I didn’t really eat it(shrimp was staring into my soul) other people on my table had it and they said it was delicious. For a main course I had the fish and chips and I was soooo glad I did! I originally ordered a chicken meal they had but I changed my mind once I saw someone else eating the fish and chips! The waiter was a sweetheart and didn’t let me know how annoying I am for changing my main course after having ordered it lol The fish and chips they serve are soooo good! The fries were nice and fresh, the fish was super delicious and crunchy(let me remind you I do not like fish ~most of the time~) and the sauce was divine! It also comes with some salad but ain’t nobody got time for that. They made me a custom dessert with no dairy and plenty of fruit and a lemon sobert. The other options looked divine and everyone on my table enjoyed them. Specially the crème brûlée. The view is amazing, you can see central station and the boats coming, and a bit of zeeburg. It’s right by the water and they have plenty of space for parking.(Huge plus in my book) They have plenty of seating outside, with tables with couches, picknick tables(don’t sit there unless you are only going for a bite, your back will thank you), and the inside area is huge! The place used to be a factory so the amount of space is massive, no elbow rubbing! Giving it 5 stars because they made me like fish and he service was great although the food took a while, but it was so worth it!

Great outdoor place by the water with great food… what else do you need on a sunny Amsterdam afternoon. I loved it. We went during the afternoon and they have a huge outdoor patio — so plenty of place to sit in the sun and the patio is right by the water and its quite beautiful. We ended up being here until late evening and its quite pretty in the evening with the little lights… Could be a good dinner date spot. The food was great and very fresh — We tried the oysters and the seafood platter — very good. The drinks were good too — the mojito, gin and tonic, decent wine selection and great scorpinos(loved em)! And I have to say that the service here is definitely better than most of the places in amsterdam. So, I’m definitely going back here, this summer…

The place is a former factory very nicely turned into a classy, design, cool restaurant. Walls, lamps, tables setting, the island bar, the lights all is just amazingly beautiful. And the view on Amsterdam by night awesome. Should be listed in design magazines. The service is also nice. I would say the food is just a tad below the setting, nicely presented, served, but lacking a bit of something to make the experience completely amazing. A bit pricey too.

When I walked into Stork, I was immediately taken with how open, bright, and spacious the restaurant is. I immediately thought that it seemed like the perfect event space. The restaurant is housed in a former warehouse. There are large windows with provide a fantastic view of the city over the water. I was really impressed with Stork from a purely aesthetic perspective. Now considering the restaurant aspect, Stork is pretty good as well, depending on what you order. I went with a party of 6, and while most people enjoyed their meals, my dish was a bit bland. I wanted to order the crab sandwich, but unfortunately it was not available that day. So, I ordered mussels in broth and it was served with fries and various sauces. I’m a fry connoisseur, and was really impressed with the fries here. They were great. The mussels, while plentiful, were not well seasoned. Even with the addition of salt to the broth, they were still meh. I did taste the smoked mackerel sandwich and it was delicious, so I should have ordered that as it was recommended by a local. Service was prompt and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I’d definitely return to Stork since my overall experience was good.

«Je suis dork»… Stork. Dork. Cork. Well that’s actually the only thing I had there, a glass house red. And 1 beer. So this is more a protest review. If it’s quantity you want, it’s quantity you get. First review of ’15 in a avalanche of reviews :) Since drinks is all I’ve had there, can’t really say anything useful, other than I like the setting, the architecture. Interior is smartly decorated. Despite the building being massive, it still feels sheltered, not cold. There’s this nook with couches that feels inviting. And the view. I like the view. Very urban. Now, eat that! You… you… No, I’m not bitter at all *cough* But you can’t really eat that now can you. The nice scenery I mean. So I have to get back to try out some solids. Luckily, this place is really close to my film school. Can definitely imagine me sitting here outside on a sunny day, chilling on the deck, relaxing. Or on a partly cloudy day even… Btw have you guys already seen Pixar’s short«Partly Cloudy»? Really clever, cute :)

Also nix wie hin!

We got the seafood platter and some extra oysters. Oysters were good and there is a good selection of them, but the platter was kind of disappointing. Scallops were fake(only the shells for decoration), the rest was good but not exceptional. Service is way above Amsterdam standard though, so I really appreciate that.

This place was very hard to find! We went by public transport and found ourselves running around dark industrial areas looking for any sign of life… with google maps guiding us. We eventually found it. It’s a huge hall with an industrial feel. The service was very good and the food was average or a little above. It was a good seafood meal, but nothing extraordinary :)

The food was decent. Ordered the 3 course meal for 27 €ish. The ambiance was also alright for being situated in a warehouse but my main gripe is about the serving time. Expect to wait 30 minutes in between plates. Also expect to not have any of the wait staff acknowledge you for a while either: Horrible. The wait was definitely not worth it. The food was fine but not good enough to warrant another visit.

Great place by the river across the main station, the atmospher is great and the seafood is great, for lunch, chill out or in the evening, definitely a place to go

I have to admit we haven’t had dinner there. We had a nice«borrel» which, if I understood well, is kind of an after dinner aperitivo with food. As we didn’t know that and thought we would have dinner(8 pm is a good time for that in Brussels), we were very happy to welcome(again and again) the waiters swirling around with plates of nice mackerel«feuilleté» and delicious salmon wraps. This place is really magical! The view is amazing, as you can see all kinds of ships passing by(we would have gladly jumped aboard some of them). The waiters are very nice. The wine we had very good. Overall, very good impression… magic Amsterdam!

We made a little trip to the other side of Het IJ, and it really was worth of it. You will not find this restaurant accidentally. The restaurant is located in large industrial building, old cranes are still near the ceiling. The hall is huge, no, it’s larger than huge. They are specialised in sea food. Food was really good. They had also an excellent olive oil that you can get from Casa del Gusto .

I completely adored this lovely seafood restaurant north of Amsterdam. The view and décor is simply outstanding. Café Stork Restaurant is located in an old industrial warehouse on the north-side of Amsterdam. What I love about this restaurant is how they have preserved the character, aesthetics and history of this magnificent place. They have these wide windows through out the entire restaurant that shows a spectacular view of the harbor and city. Sitting from any position in the restaurant the view is breath-taking. Food-wise the menu offers a good selection of seafood to please anyone’s appetite.

Lovely ambience this old machinehal. We booked a table outside, because of the beautiful weather and the fact that we could get there by boat. Very relaxed atmosphere, nice no-nonsense crowd. A lot of fish on the menu. We ordered our starters and mains, but after 40 minutes they came back to tell us that they ran out of a lot of food we ordered(mind you, we were there at 7 pm, so not late at night). so to make a long story short we had waited 1.30 hour for the food to arrive. All guys in our group were very hungry by then. At the time when the main meal arrived, the waiter told us that the fries would come later, because there was a large order of fish and chips at an other table. This was the point that i had to explain to them, calm and friendly, that we were not going to wait for the fries as a desert, so the fish and chips people, who arrived a lot later the we did, should wait for the chips! That helped! Must say very lovely waiters, so i felt really sorry for them. And we had a very nice evening, because of them, the sun, the view and our own group. Even though the boys were hungry again at home, might want to give them a second chance, because of all the reviews. But price-quality-quantity was not in balance!

When driving in the area you wonder where you’ll end. It is an old factory which is recently renovated to the largest fish restaurant in Amsterdam. The interior is great, leaving lots of the old factory intact. High ceilings. Large builiding. View over the water couldn’t be better on a sunny evening. Food is fresh and great. Service is informal which suits the restaurant.
