If you do any research on DUWO, the tenant complaints are endless. Unfortunately, many universities in the Netherlands recommend using DUWO as it’s one of the largest student housing agencies. Please, please do not make the mistake as many of us students have by choosing to rent through DUWO. They rip off students left and right. The goods and services you pay for along with rent? Nonexistent. No working wifi, no electrical heating (no means of cooking food or getting hot water for that matter). What are you paying for here? Just the roof over your head. If I could do anything differently it would be to avoid DUWO completely and find my own accommodation. Do yourself a favor and don’t let DUWO ruin your experience studying in the Netherlands!
