Sauna Deco

I absolutely loved spending a relaxing few hours here during my vacation. I had a one hour massage that was a mix of Swedish and Thai — very relaxing and great for travelers that have been walking all over the city for a week. I also enjoyed the infrared stalls and the Turkish sauna. Newcomers may want to be aware that swimsuits are not allowed and the entire establishment is not separated by gender. Everyone was respectful during my stay.

Lugar fantástico para relaxar as pernas depois de pedalar o dia inteiro. Tão bonito que parece um cenário suntuoso de filme de gangster. Isso porque a decoração art deco (lustres, esquadrias, parte mobília) foi resgatada do desmanche de uma loja parisiense desativada em 1920.
Não é porque está em Amsterdam que é bagunça: é um lugar sério, um spa com diferentes tipos de sauna (infravermelha inclusive), massagens, banhos e uma piscina gelada onde só os fortes sobrevivem. Mas é uma sauna mista (desde o vestiário) e as pessoas usam toalha só entre uma instalação e outra. De resto, todo mundo nu. Finja que isso é normal e aproveite, porque no fim das contas… é normal. É majoritariamente frequentada por holandeses, o que a torna quase vazia durante horário comercial.
Para fazer massagem é melhor ir antes e agendar, se informar sobre preços e escolher um ou uma massagista. Cartões de crédito são aceitos para o complexo de sauna mas massagens devem ser pagas em dinheiro. Tudo muito limpo e organizado. A área do bar é linda, não dá vontade de sair. Staff discreto e atencioso.

A small little sauna with very friendly staff & gorgeous facilities. The design aesthetic is spot-​on, and the juices are all freshly made in front of you. All the facilities are mixed-​gender, but it’s a very comfortable, safe environment. The only downside was that they don’t accept non-​Dutch debit or credit cards.
This was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday evening.

Schöné Sauna mit Art-​Deco.

What a beautiful place to relax in a great location. It is clean and offers a steam sauna, two dry sauna’s, showers foot baths, a cold plunge bath, infrared sauna, sun tanning table, plenty of areas indoors and out of doors to relax and they offer massage services and refreshments. The décor is amazing.

DER Sauna-​Geheimtipp in der Amsterdamer Innenstadt! In einem der üblich prächtigen Häuser an der Herengracht versteckt sich ein Art Deco-​Juwel, das komplette Interieur stammt aus einem ehemaligen Kaufhaus, das in den 1920er Jahren in Paris ausgestattet wurde. Für Liebhaber dieser Architektur einfach nur überwältigend!
Die Sauna wird von einer älteren Madame geführt, man fühlt sich direkt 80 Jahre in der Zeit zurückversetzt. Die kleine Karte hält leckere frische Salate und Saté-​Spießchen bereit, frischer Orangensaft wird bei Bestellung gepresst, besser geht es nicht. Die Saunen sind gemütlich, für Hochtemperaturliebhaber gibt es eine mit 115 Grad, was man in den Niederlanden nur sehr selten findet. Zudem gibt es ein Dampfbad und zwei Infrarotkabinen. Wer sich einen entspannenden Tag in Amsterdam gönnen will kommt an der Deco Sauna praktisch nicht vorbei, dennoch ist sie nicht überlaufen.
