All portions are bigger and tasier than in any other Indian restaurant I tried before in Amsterdam

A cute little restaurant in Red Light district. We ordered kadahi chicken and chhole with naan. The sabzis were good but the naan was very hard and more afghan bread than indian naan. Samosas were delicious!

It’s ok but everything the few dishes I ordered tasted the same, was not spicy when it should have been, and their naan bread was not fresh. Once they microwave it, it goes bad fast. Had takeaway once and never went back.

It takes some dedication to find, but once you have, it is a small Indian restaurant that has a good authentic feel to it. Menu has all the items expected from western Indian cuisine and the portions are sensibly large. Have only tried takeaway so cannot actually say anything about the dining room. But, it looks quite small, so don’t take for granted that you will get a table.

This restaurant is very well hidden and you will only visit it if you know about it as it branches from a long street full of various other restaurants. The ambiance inside is very cozy like many of the Amsterdam restaurants. Prices are mid-range, though the portions are quite generous. The food was very good, though according to an Indian friend, not quite accurate. I am by no means an Indian-food expert so i have to leave this part to other reviewers. My main complaint though was with the service. The waiter was very unfriendly in answering our questions and the service was very slow! I hope this was a one-time thing, otherwise this restaurant could get an additional star from me!

This is one of my favorite Indian Restaurants. I always make sure to stop here, when I am in Amsterdam. It is a hidden down a sidestreet off of the main street… so keep your eyes open when going here. In fact, it takes me a little while to find this place. I am always looking for the bright white sign hanging outside. It is definitely worth the adventure. The food here is amazing. I highly recommend the Tandoori Mixed Grill. It has a little of everthing… chicken, beef and shrimp. The spices are really nice and go well with a Large Beer here.(Amsterdam has some of the most amazing beer in the world.) The location is small… the use of space is really interesting. There are a few tables on the main floor and then there are a few steps down to the kitchen and they built a loft over the kitchen for a few more tables. The bathrooms are also up here too. The tables over the kitchen can get a little warm and uncomfortable because of the kitchen heat… then throw in spicy food and you are really going to need that cold beer.
