Fast, efficient, and very pleasant experience. Wally was a delight and easy to talk to and the environment is very clean and beautiful.
I was able to walk here from my hotel and it was relatively easy to find. It’s on a beautiful, «boutiquey» street, so you’re going into very charming neighborhood.
I got a men’s buzz cut for twenty euros (which might be a little steep for a buzz cut, but it looks like that’s typical pricing around Amsterdam as opposed to what I’m use to paying in the U.S., which is around $ 10). But I felt like it was worth it. I got the job done and it was easy and enjoyable.

A good hairstylist is almost as crucial as a good grocery store. It is one of the things all of us look for whenever we move to a new place. Luckily for me, that quest didn’t last long, and after a couple failures, I found Manous as the place I could stick with for the next few years.
Located in the nice Jordaan district, the shop run by a hairstyling duo is surprisingly more affordable than other neighborhood establishments. This does not absolutely mean that the quality is any worse, though. I don’t get a very short haircut, which is why I enjoy the minimum possible use of electrical ‘shearing’ implements. The nice folks at Manous make sure I get the best possible cut even if it takes a very long time. I love my haircut here.
Being so good at their work, the place is very often busy. As such, it is recommended to schedule an appointment in advance. All it takes is a quick phone call and you’re set.
