After living in Amsterdam for 4 months, I decided to check out other grocery stores, to expand my horizons past Albert heijn and dirk. Lidl is a lot cheaper, but there’s a reason why. Veggies and fruit — be wary what you buy and really check it’s freshness. Some things were a day or so past it’s prime, some a little older. I would recommend this place for things where freshness don’t matter: frozen food, snacks, condiments or bottled items, toilet paper, paper towels, bouillon, etc. all that was fine and cheap. For fruits and veggies, hit it miss(more miss than hit). This place won’t replace my visits to other markets, but will provide a cheaper supplement.
