Great food! Horrible staff & service! While I really enjoyed my lunch, I would never go back here due to the rude behavior of the staff and over-​all incompetence of the waitresses.
For example I waited over ten minutes before I received a menu. After I was finally acknowledged and looked at the menu, another 10 – 15 min went by before anyone even asked me if I wanted a drink & order food. Then when the food came the order was incorrect and missing one of the items. I had to fight for attention from staff, and paying the bill took forever.
I’m not sure why I didn’t just walk out. There are too many other great restaurants to go to with much better service.

Le Pain Quotidien is really a great place for breakfast, lunch or dessert. I love this location because of the nice terrace and the spacious inside. Perfect for a sunday after a stroll through the neighbourhood.
They sell a lovely lemon tart and éclair and I also like their plateaus for sharing. The thin sliced apple tart wasn’t good at all though. Very dry. The pastries are a bit pricey though.

An ok café/​bakery for breakfast, cappuccinos and outdoor seating.
Nothing special about this place, yet nothing that wouldn’t have me returning when in that neighborhood.
Granola/​yogurt/​fruit combo here was quite delicious. :)

This is a review of this LPQ outlet as a café, not as a bakery (I would review them considerably higher as a bakery).
I don’t understand the business model of this place. They charge a small fortune for very average coffee and ditto sandwiches (on very good bread, it must be said, which is then let down by the quality of the toppings). Half of their two-​person wait staff, although perfectly friendly, seemed to be more interested in smoking one cigarette after the other and chatting with friends than in actually serving their customers, leaving actual service to her (clearly flustered) colleague. And all this for ridiculously over-​inflated prices. Either they must have had a spectacularly bad day when I was there, or else their clientele will soon wise up and move on.
