La Perla

Best pizza in Amsterdam, you will meet here Italian people traveling around Europe eating and enjoying the buffalo pizza made based on original recipes. Usually I don’t eat or order in pizza but I will always eat a pizza in la perla ! Pure ingredients, good wines and fresh salads, all what you need — but reserve your sports at least two weeks ahead !

Also ja, die Pizza mit Büffelmozarella ist hier sehr gut, was man hier unschwer an dem vollem Restaurant erkennen konnte (unbedingt reservieren) Aber lasst euch das gesagt sein: möchtet ihr hier wirklich nur schnell né Pizza essen und dann raus, ist das der perfekte Ort für euch. Solltet ihr aber Lust auf einen gemütlichen Abend haben, wo man zu Mindestens noch seinen Wein in Ruhe austrinken möchte, bevor man dann so langsam die Segel streichen will, geht lieber woanders hin. Nach der leckeren Pizza haben wir uns noch ein Tiramisu bestellt (das empfehle ich aber nicht, das war viel zu sahnig). Kaum war das aufgegessen, wurden wir aufgefordert uns an die Bar zu setzen, da ja noch Leute warten würden. Wenn das Restaurant uns selbst noch eben so ohne Reservierung zwischen gequetscht hätte, wäre das in Ordnung gewesen. Und wie es so ist im Leben: Der Ton spielt die Musik. Hätten man uns mit Witz und Charme gefragt und uns womöglich als Dank, dass wir noch mit vollen Wein– und Wassergläsern unseren Tisch räumen, noch zu nem Drink o.ä. eingeladen, wäre das absolut ok gewesen. Aber uns zu bitten bzw. aufzufordern an die Bar zu gehen, ohne vorher zu gucken, ob es überhaupt noch 2 freie Plätze gibt… oh nööö. Zudem war es ein bißchen hektisch und ich hatte wesentlich gemütlichere Restaurants auf dem Weg zur La Perla gesehen.

La Perla is utterly perfect for an unbelievably delicious pizza and a glass of wine. I had the Calabrese, and would not change a single thing about it (in my opinion it’s easy to find things to change on a pizza). The price cannot be beat for the quality.
The intimate atmosphere is very nice for a one-​on-​one dinner… when I come again on my next business trip I will enjoy a nice date with my wife here.
Great service too.

Un accueil très agréable malgré le monde. Salade pleine de saveur, pizza excellente comme le vin pour l accompagner. Seul bémol, un peu cher.

I remember the time when the only pizzas worth mentioning (or eating) came from Yam Yam or Casa di David. Then I heard about L’Angoletto which despite bad service was worth visitng for their great pizzas. Luckily Da Portare Via came along to up the ante. Take away pizza had just entered a new dimension. De Pizza Bakkers and La Perla joined the fray. Quality classic pizzas and exotic pizzas were now readible available all over the city. This was heaven for someone who loves pizza. To make an analogy to something I may only hint at here: a bad one is still a great one!
My first pizza here was a simple classic one, the puttanesca. And in tribute to the Italian cuisine, which emphasises simplicity and few ingredients, it was amazing. Recently I collected pizzas for a friend and myself. In order not to order the same as her, I got the Calabrese de Spilinga. Burnt sausage and burnt crusts but I won’t take any points off for that. Boy, was that sausage special. (Sorry, if this review is starting to sound pornographic!) Powerful, unusual and well worth ordering again. But my next pizza from La Perla will be Salsiccia Fresca. This is a different sausage. (Sorry!) A subtler flavour than the one on my pizza but it made a wonderful combination with the radicchio. Refreshingly different and delicious.
Whether you are a sausage lover or not (sorry again!) you should try the pizzas here.

This pizza is nothing to rave about. The pizza itself gets a 3.5 but with the excellent customer service and atmosphere, I round it up to 4 stars.
Why is this pizza nothing to rave about? Well if you’ve been to New York, Italy and even Connecticut, USA (yes new haven, Connecticut has better pizza than New York. You need to try modern apizza before you contest this) then this pizza does not match up to the pizza in any of those places. Here’s how they can improve to be better! .
The dough needs improvement which ties the entire pizza together. The crust doesn’t hold its crispness and chewiness in the center where the sauce and the cheese sits. The dough tastes good but the consistency isn’t there… Yet.
Also for the margarita pizza, the mozzarella is cut very thick but that’s being very detailed now.
Otherwise the ingredients are fantastic and so fresh. The customer service is superb and the atmosphere is very nice.
I rate my places a lot on whether I would return, and this is a pizza place I would return only to hang out with local friends. My friends visiting from New York wouldn’t like it but would think the same thing as me– it’s a really, really great value especially the margarita.
Are there other good pizza places in Amsterdam? I’d like to try more.

Miré, cómo no, en Unilocal,sitios por la zona en la que me quedaba, Jordaan, que tuviesen buenas recomendaciones para cenar. Y, efectivamente, ¡lo encontré! Esta pizzería tiene dos locales, el restaurante, y enfrente un establecimiento para take away. Las pizzas que probamos, ambas vegetarianas, estaban ricas de verdad (mucho sabor y una masa fina muy italiana), y el tiramisú es, y de verdad, de los mejores que he probado. Todo eso con dos cervezas por menos de 30 €. El local, además, es luminoso y agradable. Sólo un fallo, no funcionan las tarjetas de débito extranjeras para pagar, aunque sean Visa! :-(

En mi primera comida en Amsterdam tuve la suerte de encontrar este sitio. Tantas criticas favorables en Unilocal no pueden estar equivocadas.
La perla es un italiano en el barrio de moda de Amsterdam, Jordaan. Tiene un horno de leña de donde salen las mejores pizzas estilo napolitano que recuerdo. La encontré perfecta.
La masa crujientes por fuera y esponjosa por dentro, los ingredientes de primerísima calidad; el tomate triturado natural, la mozzarella fresca y la carne sobre la pizza deliciosa, ademas de una rúcula fresquisima. Una de las diferencias que encontré con las pizzas napolitanas que suelo tomar es que la masa no se deshacía en el centro y siendo fina aguantaba consistentemente los ingredientes. Era la pizza perfecta.
Seguramente sea necesario reservar porque es un local muy popular entre los dutches.
Precios normales. Pizzas entre 11 – 14 euros
Imprescindible.

Pas extraordinaires pour des pizzas!
Je met 3 étoiles déjà pour l’établissement dans lequel on peut soit disant manger alors qu’il y a exactement une seule table (avec 10 chaises autour certes, mais personnellement je n’aime pas manger ainsi). Il y aussi des petites tables collées à la fenêtre mais il n’y a pas beaucoup de places.
Je met également 3 étoiles pour la carte et les choix qui né sont pas extraordinaires. J’ai personnellement choisi une quatre fromages qui me semblait être une des plus appétissantes sur la carte, et mon copain a pris une spéciale ou j’étais incapable de deviner ce qui s’y trouvait et ce que je goûtais.
En ce qui concerne le goût, il est bon mais pas extraordinaire. Le service lui, est parfait et ils prennent les cartes (encore heureux!)

Leckere Pizza! Sehr hochwertige Lebensmittel.

Für viele Amsterdamer die beste Pizza in der Stadt. Kann mich dem nur anschließen. Knuspriger Teig, wenig, aber dafür umso leckererer Belag. Gibt’s auch zum Mitnehmen, was gut ist, da das Restaurant relativ klein ist und ohne Reservierung fast nie ein Platz zu ergattern ist. Was irgendwie auch wieder ein Beleg für die Qualität ist ;)

Ich habs in meinen einwöchigen Aufenthalt auch mal probiert. Meinem Vorredener kann ich nur recht geben. Simple kann auch manchmal gut sein.

richtiger Ofen, knuspriger Teig, simpler und guter Wein. Less is more!
Kann ich absolut empfehlen, wenn man mal nichts fritiertes essen will.
