I was up early because of renovations in my apartment, very hungry and there wasn’t any food in the house. Then I remembered that I walked past Koeman a few weeks before, and that it opens as early as 6AM. Upon arrival, there was the aroma of freshly brewed coffee in the air and a big counter with lots of choices of cold cuts, salads, eggs, cheese and anything else you could ever want on your ‘broodje’. Coffee is only € 0,80, and the broodjes are usually around € 1,75. And you can even get a double portion of your ‘beleg’, like I did with their delicious tuna salad. All in all a big winner for me, at a time in the morning when everything else is closed, and most of the city still seems to be asleep.
