First off let me say, I can’t have any gluten. So finding a place that is basically gluten free is like a shining star to me. But that’s not what this review is for, this review is for the best damn chicken salad in a potato that was topped with bacon I’ve ever had. The flavors were rich and smooth. That that potato was amazing, that I had to order a Thai green curry full Jacketz to go as they were a long walk from my hotel, but that didn’t stop me and probably won’t stop me from hitting them up again before I head home.
I wish we had a place like this back home, because it would definitely be my comfort food stop after a long day.

The potatoes are delicious, huge and very tasty. Thai green curry is recommended. Also good value for money.

Wow wow wow! So good! The service was excellent, and the potatoes were all delicious. You definitely feel like you are eating an entire meal, not just a potato. The toppings are first rate, and the actual potato portion is amazing.

So filling, but the baked potato is so good with generous toppings! Would definitely come here again :) next time I would get the half potato instead because a full potato is way too much potato for me

I’m not a potato-​guy. So yeah, I did get tired around 75% into my potato.
But this was different, unlike most things i’ve eaten.
So fresh, so tasty. And so much.
I did the mistake of ordering a salad for which we (2) shared. We barely touched the salad.
Very friendly staff. Very cool concept. My mouth says its ⁴⁄₅ but i’ve heard you eat with your eyes as well. So its a 5.

I just realized I haven’t reviewed one of my favorite places to eat a potato. So this place is a dream!
For as long as I can remember I’ve loved potatoes… I can eat them in any shape form or size and this place definitely knows how to do it well.
There is a lot of choice when it comes to the toppings and even the ones that seem a lil too adventures are damn delicious with the potatoes. For e. g my green curry with goat cheese and pine nuts! It’s a very well priced joint and a must go for everyone who loves good combos.

This place made me want to do my own baked potato night! I ordered a half jacket with chicken salad and fresh herbs, with cheese and pesto. It was AMAZING!!! So delicious and perfectly cooked.
I even tried to salvage it and take it back to my hotel, but never had a chance to eat it. I was so sad to throw it away :(

I had the chili con carne and it was tasty. The potato was loaded with goodness, almost too much. Next time, I’ll probably get half a potato instead; a whole one was a pretty filling lunch.

This place is perfect for the times when u’re starvinggg and there’s nothing u want more than to just fill ur belly with that homey goodness The prices are reasonable and the menu is simple. First, u choose ur base: jacketz, ½ jacketz, or salad. Then a filling, extras and sauces. That’s it! 10 – 15 mins later ur server carries over baked potatoes/​jacketz that are piled way high. Our favorites are the chicken salad add bacon with honey mustard sauce and the pulled pork bbq. Who knew a baked potato could be sooo good… So good that it even could be the main dish!!! With the portions they serve it makes sense. You’ll be so stuffed leaving that place. I wish they had a location closer to central though. Walking there just kinda feels like a hike. Luckily, the weather has been nice so I’m not moaning hehe This place is def worth it either way! You’ll be glad that u came

Pesto is amazing. Garlic sauce too. The potatoes are fluffy and all is artfully presented. Absolutely Perfect!

Best baked potatoes I’ve had in my life! We tried the pork, beef stew, and chili con carne toppings (dined here two different times!). My favorites were pork and chili con carne. Cheese and bacon are a must! Sauce, not really necessary. Great beer selection too.

Every time I passed by this place, I would cast a cynical gaze at a restaurant that only serves baked potatoes. How good can it possibly be? But after getting frustrated by the food court table hounding and crowd at FoodHallen on a Friday night, my friends and I took a walk down to Jacketz to try it out. I was surprised at how much seating there is inside and out too.
This turned out to be way more than your standard baked potato! It’s almost like they scoop out the insides of a GIANT potato, mash it into a creamy consistency and then put it back into the skins that have now been toasted to a delicious crisp (the only time I’ve wanted to eat the entire potato, skin and all). Then they top it with your filling of choice, things that range from chili con carne, salmon, pulled pork, and even a variety of vegan options. There are also several additional toppings such as cheese, nuts, and hummus but those are usually just overkill in my opinion.
Basically, this is the Wok to Walk of baked potatoes!
You can expect to pay about 8 – 10 euros for your potato but it’s so worth it — the Jacketeerz (their term, not mine!) put so much care into them. Add something from the decent list of craft beers or a house wine and you have yourself a great cold weather meal.

Hands down one of the best places in Amsterdam for me! They have a wide variety of choices when it comes to these big ol’ baked potatoes or,“jacketz”. The waitresses and owner were really really friendly and definitely can tell that they care about the food and service. The selection of beer and wine were pretty great as well (low cost too) so if you’re rolling on a budget this might be the place for quality and for your buck. You won’t leave unhappy! Huge huge portions :)

This is a place for massive, topped baked potatoes. The only gluten containing ingredient is the beef, so everything else is fair game for gluten free eaters like myself!
I had a potato with BBQ pork, cheese and garlic sauce. Coming in at € 12.65, I thought it was a bit steep, but the potatoes are huge and the toppings generous. I did takeaway, but the plates bring served in the restaurant look really nice (see pictures here, there are plenty of examples!)
They were really busy so I waited about 15 minutes for my order. There is a large patio area and it looks like they serve beer and wine, so it’s a nice place for a casual meal.

I love everything about Jacketz! Best baked potato I have ever had! There is a great variety of options– meat and vegetarian! Highly recommended! Please open a location in the U.S.

The most delicious baked potato I have ever had. A fantastic lunch spot. Fresh ingredients, hearty portions, and thoughtful presentation. Prices are reasonable. Worth a visit!

Who can resist creamy potatoes, fresh toppings and good prices?! This is a great place for a tasty, somewhat healthy, meal. You do get a lot of food for your money so you’ll definitely leave satisfied. Try the beetroot salad with nuts — it’s amazing!

Affordable, delicious, fresh, and imaginative… baked potatoes! Would never have thought! Great service as well!

Creamy potato goodness, definitely not for if you’re on the diet. But if you’re a jacket potato fan, like myself, this will definitely hit the spot.
Portions are generous. And that might be an understatement. The potatoes are large. The toppings are piled high. So if you’re not THAT hungry, I would recommend sharing.
