Solid Indonesian restaurant that has been here for decades. We took the vegetarian family platter as takeaway and we’re not disappointed.

I was very impressed. Never heard about this restaurant but a friend just told me to give a try. We did not have a reservation but they were very kind and we got one. However, I suggest you make the reservation since the place is small. As I said, people working there are very kind and sometimes funny. About the food, 5 stars!!! Amazing! I tried the rijsttafel and I was astonished. So far, the best Indonesian food I have ever had.

This is the best Indonesian food I have ever had. Renee, the owner/chef prepares everything from scratch and uses organic… what the Dutch call biological… ingredients. Calvin, the headwaiter is an absolute treat to work with. This is near the RAI… the big convention center. My husband and I had bami’s and our daughter, her husband and our granddaughter had a rijstafel. Went twice in 2 weeks; it is that good.

We stayed at the Wyndham Apollo Hotel who recommended a nearby street with a number of ethnic restaurants. When I saw the Djago sign I recalled having read some positive reviews. Given we were in Amsterdam I was craving Indonesian food!
My brother-in-law, his wife and I ordered three «special» plates which had a variety of meats. including goat! I enjoyed the meal with an Indonesian Beer. We were the only ones inside. May seated outside, but most were smoking. tobacco!
We were satisfied and had enough left to feed my wife who stayed at the hotel to rest. They packed the left overs so well she thought we had ordered a meal to go!
