Expats alert: They still make house calls. You must get a referral from the Doctor here first, before you can see a specialist for anything else. Great Doctors and location for people living in de Negen Straatjes and the centrum (downtown). Highly recommended for Expats. Friendly staff.

As a recent arrival in Amsterdam, I was recommended to this clinic. The Doctor is great, fresh and understanding, and totally not stuffy. Very caring, professional and not too pricey, even for the uninsured.

My first experience with a doctor in Amsterdam and really quite please. I had heard many a horror story about the long wait times and poor service — this experience was quite the opposite. I was able to make a same day appointment and I was in an out rather quickly. The assistant was very friendly and helpful and the doctor was open to answer my questions. Highly recommend this office.

A modern, responsive doctor. Doctor Stinissen listens to patients and takes them seriously. After suffering several atrocious ‘huisarts’ experiences in the Netherlands, my husband and I were pleased to finally find a good general practice. Prescriptions can be refilled by email, and the good doctor will also answer simple queries by email. I wish we had discovered Dr. Stinissen sooner!
