‘Home is…’ is a new concept store in the Van Baerlestraat, next to museum square. I cycled past this place during the renovation quite often so I looked forward to their opening, which was yesterday. The shop sells mostly(woman’s)clothing, but also some jewelry and items for your home. I expected more home stuff because of the name of the shop but unfortunately it was not as much as I hoped for. The items they did sell were cute though, but also quite pricey(something that fits the Van Baerlestraat probably.). The clothes were also nice but also pricey. It is all to pricey for my budget, so that’s why I was a bit disappointed. It is a very nice store though and if you have more budget I can imagine you’ll love it. There is also a little café, ‘The Kitchen’, because that’s what concept stores gotta have. They sell different kinds of(machine)coffee and tea. The coffee was nothing barista like or something, it was fine, but nothing special. It would have been better to choose tea I think because there was a huge tea menu, with a different kinds of white, black, rooibos en green tea. The café was cute and there was also red velvet and carrot cake. There is also a garden to sit in during summer so I can imagine that would be very nice. Mother and daughter were both very nice and the coffee came with a mini cupcake :) that was cute.
