This is a great gym in central Amsterdam. I went here twice when I visited the city and I had a good experience. Since it’s on such a central location they’ve built the gym on two floors(with the locker room being between floors) — also, be prepared to climb some stairs to get up to the gym! And when you leave after leg day, you’ll have to walk back down again! Ugh! The locker room is tidy and spacious(for being an inner city location) and the showers feel clean — they even have ice cold shower if you fancy that. The cardio machines are on the lower floor and they have surprisingly many. The weigh lifting equipment on the upper floor is modern and functional — and I’d say they have more stuff than I expected(especially in terms of dumbbells, kettle bells, yoga balls and foam rollers). The selection of machines is decent, and there’s plenty of floor space to do lunges, swing kettle bells and what not. What I missed was more barbell related equipment — the ability to do squats and dead lifts and so on.

Tu valoración: 4 Amsterdam, The Netherlands
This is my third choice of Health City locations but gave it four stars because of the location and views from the windows upstairs. It’s really nice to see the rooftops of Amsterdam while lifting some weights. There is not as much variety of equipment here compared to other locations, primarily because the lack of space in the center I imagine. The usual running machines, weights and a few saunas are what you get. There is also some space for classes of course. The staff has always been helpful to me and usually put out some fruit for you after or during your workout. It is a little hidden on the street but look up for the sign and you’ll find it.
