Very very friendly staff! We ordered the spare rips and were very relieved with the result. It was delicious. Prices quite high but just as expected for a Hard Rock Café.

Out of 11 Hard Rocks I’ve been to, this Amsterdam one was my first bad experience. Even in wintertime when the economy is low, the staff here hate their foreign customers. The two women behind the bar were sullen and grossly unfriendly. They did not even acknowledge our presence or pay any attention to our needs. We had to ask them for everything and they acted annoyed. The waitress in the restaurant returned our tip because it was less than 15%. She said this is an American restaurant and because I was American I should know how to tip, even though this was Holland and my Dutch dinner mates told us what an appropriate tip was. The shop only had one till open and made us wait over 10 minutes to buy a city pin even though they knew that is what we were there for.

I have to make a stop at each of these every time I am in a new city to pick up T-shirts but many times I also have lunch while I am there. My friend, a vegetarian, had no problems eating here since they also had options for her. I ended up getting the mushroom burger with swiss cheese and my friend got the grilled portobello mushroom burger. The lunch was delicious and our waitress, Lindsey was from Philadelphia and her closest friend lived in Louisiana-it is a small world. It was a great meal and a great afternoon. I would recommend and return.

It’s a nice spot to come to if you want something predictable. They do have specials that cater to the Dutch cuisine and neighboring countries, but it is mainly American inspired food. The ambiance of this location is on point. We sat by the window upstairs and watched boats go by on the canal. It was lovely. We also went to the bar and had a few drinks, overpriced but it’s Hard Rock. The bartenders were funny to watch. So much drama between them. I recommend.

A waiter showed us our place. We came with a dog. 10 minutes later, when normally someone comes to ask you for drinks, another waitress told us to leave, because«dogs are absolutely not allowed». Bye the way, it is very expensive. 0,33 l bottle of beer for 5,5 €.

Friendly service, Nice burgers and great dessert! The placement of The Ac system could be better as it blows directly onto The tables No matter the placement

After watching the amount of people on bicycles and walking by to many coffee shops I had really worked up quite an appetite. Wanted to eat at a place I was familiar with and when my family and I saw Hard Rock Café I figured this would be a good stop. The Hard Rock experience is a good one with the music and the people there and all the memorabilia they have to look at. Unfortunately I wasn’t impressed with the food every dish I saw looked kind of pathetic and especially for the price. I mean when you order a burger and its 15 Euro you expect something good. And my HoneyMustard Chicken Sandwich wasn’t that great. The best part about the meal was I finally found a place in Europe that serves free water and free refills. That’s like finding a needle in a hay stack. Overall the experience of being there is awesome and really would only go again for some free water or to go during Happy Hour because the drinks looked really good. People there were really friendly but the food was disappointing.

Today I decided that I wanted to try out the ribs to see if they had any wow factor. I was sadly disappointed as they were somewhat dry and the BBQ sauce mediocre at best. I mentioned to the waitress as she took my plate after I was finished and asked me how everything was to tell the chef the ribs were disappointing. I don’t think she took me seriously. My feeling is that ribs are relatively easy to prepare and cook and these were definitely lacking. Barbecue sauce is another story as I would expect the Hard Rock to have a world class barbecue sauce reminiscent of what you’d find in Texas or the winner of a barbecue sauce taste event. I’m certain they could do better as their burgers literally outclass their ribs. The barbecue sauce was reminiscent of a lesser quality inexpensive sauce you’d buy off a dusty shelf in a less trafficked store. It may have been that the kitchen staff on this particular shift wasn’t up to par as I also ordered a hot fudge sundae that failed in presentation points as firstly the server who delivered it literally threw it on to the table. It’s appearance was no better as it was already melting down the sides of the glass and it was heavily drooping to one side. It was also deficient in having much hot fudge in it. In my observation it was a major fail. You can do better Hard Rock. Take note.

World Burger Tasting Tour Event June 2015 As someone who travels quite a lot, sometimes you just crave something familiar. For me, this is a Hard Rock cocktail or a Bubba Gump Shrimp meal. When invited for a Unilocal event to try out new Hard Rock cocktails, a range of burger recipes from around the World and a music quiz, my answer was of course«yes» and than I find out this event is also complimentary! Winning! The kind people of Hard Rock Amsterdam treated us to free cocktails, wine or soft drinks throughout the event. The event showcased a new summer cocktail that was sweet, pink and yellow in colour and reminded me of good ‘Sex on the Beach’. They called it the Unilocaler for the event but would not reveal the name. Other cocktails on offer were Bahama Mama, Southern Rock, LIT(Long Island Iced Tea) and another rum based one I can’t remember the name of. There were also wines and soft drinks on offer. The canapes included crispy chicken strippers, cheesy tuna mini wraps, bruschetta with salmon or beef and parmesan. The chet then came in to talk us through the four burgers that were offered for tasting, there were large versions at the front of the room and sliders were served to us afterwards — just as well as there was so much food provided! The burgers for us to try were: The Miami(Cuban) Burger, the Vietnamese(Banh Mi) Burger and the Dubai(Date) Burger, Guatemala(Marimba) Burger. Unfortunately for a closed event with guest list, there were not enough burgers for everyone to try all four burgers. There seemed to have been a number of assumed vegetarians at this event who were catered for without people being asked and specifically catered for via the event administration. There were a few tongue-in-cheek jokes about vegetarians at a burger tasting event but clearly Hard Rock proved they cater for everybody. When the first(Dubai) burger came around and there were not enough meat ones, we were told that more would come out but they did not so this meant I missed out on even trying the meat free version. Quite a few people in the room were visibly disappointed but this was short lived as the generous event with cocktails and plenty of desserts following meant no one would go hungry! :) the Dubai(Date) Burger — didn’t try so can’t comment. My first thought was this would be nice with a lamb burger. The Miami(Cuban) Burger — this wasn’t as flavoursome as I’d hoped as the burger I was more looking forward to trying. I expected this one to be a taste explosion with pulled pork, plantain, pickle, mustard and interestingly Swiss cheese. I could not really taste the pulled pork or plantain and at one point thought I had the vegetarian burger! I do wonder if the bigger burgers would do it better justice. Guatemala(Marimba) Burger — just what you’d expect from a tortilla, salsa, bean paste burger. This was nice and I wouldn’t normally go for tortillas in a burger. I would have it again. The Vietnamese(Banh Mi) Burger — this one surprised me. Crispy stir fry veggies in a burger is a clever way to get people to eat their greens but was very tasty and, I thought, worked well with the glaze. The quiz was fun, 4 groups formed and each group asked a question which they got right or wrong totalling 4 questions per team. I’m pleased to say my team got 4⁄4 and won an Exclusive Hard Rock Amsterdam badge which was not on sale in the shop. We were also given gift bags with a grey canva Hard Rock bag, a Hard Rock Amsterdam clear zip bag(like the airport travel ones) and a ‘Sexy and I Know it’ Bike seat cover. Have a look at some of the burgers on here — I’m keen to try the Haggis, Reuben and Schnitzel Burger before they leave town!

We tried to eat local in Amsterdam but after having a burger at a local business I almost gave up all hope for good beef in Amsterdam all together. So on our last night we decided to go to the Hard Rock. We were a little surprised with the prices, but it is what it is in Euros. So we ordered Nachos, we would have loved beef on them but they charged an additional 7 euros for beef on top. They were all ready expensive to begin with so 20 euros total for nanchos, not happening. Anyway, they were a huge portion, so not bad. I ended up with a yummy burger and fries. We also had little coupon cards from our hostel for a free hot fudge sundae. Yummy and we saved 14.00 euros for them. If you don’t mind waiting 45 minutes for a table and listening to a album of Michael Jackson then hit the Hard Rock.

We went here for their Thanksgiving special. So I can’t tell you anything about their regular food. But, if you’are in Amsterdam for Thanksgiving, this is one of the few spots to get your turkey! We had 17 people, so they pushed a bunch of 2 person tables together which made it really cramped, but honestly, it’s 17 people, so that’s to be expected. Our server was amazing. She kept up with us even though she had plenty of other tables to take care of! The drinks are pricey and there are far better places to spend your money on a good drink. The atmosphere is typical of any Hard Rock Café, with memorabilia everywhere and music videos playing on various TVs. It’s was pretty easy to get distracted by an early 90’s video of Madonna. The food was okay. I mean, it’s a restaurant serving Thanksgiving dinner. It was a set menu with a choice of 2 or 3 courses… again, it’s Thanksgiving, of course you go for 3 courses! It came with corn chowder, turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, & cranberry sauce. Some asked for gravy, which they were happy to give. Pumpkin pie was for dessert, and it was okay too. Everything was okay… except the green beans, I really didn’t like those(and I like green beans!). The experience was nice and food was fine. But we try to make it a habit of not eating American chain restaurants while not in the U.S.

I was just in Amsterdam over Thanksgiving, a holiday usually ignored this side of the Atlantic. This year I enjoyed lunch from their special Thanksgiving menu under Nancy Sinatra’s boots(the kind made for walking) with a gorgeous view of the canal below. There were 3 courses, beginning with a spicy corn chowder that came with fresh croutons. The entrée was a Thanksgiving veggie burger(a very convincing non-meat patty stacked with vegetables) served with French fries. When I was ready for dessert, the waitress brought a dessert of pumpkin pie with whipped cream. It’s not grandma’s cooking, but the food and service is good enough if you’re looking for a slice of Americana. Some of the employees here are expats who understand the baffling loneliness of letting Thanksgiving go unacknowledged and definitely made mine a pleasant holiday experience.

Muito bom. Atendimento ótimo. Quase igual ao outback no Brasil. Chegue cedo ou vai esperar uns 40 min pra comer dentro do restaurante. Se quiser ficar do lado de fora é só chegar e sentar. As entradas dão pra 2 pessoas fácil.

Diasspointing experience. I was hesitant to come here but we were a 3 person group and I was outvoted. We were seated upstair with a nice view but the air was very muggy. The AC was practically non existent as was our waiter. Even after he took our order it was 20 minutes until he brought our drinks(2 beers and a milkshake). Our food was just ok, nothing to rave about but I suppose that is to be expected of an international chain restaurant. I recommend avoiding this restaurant at all cost… especially since it’s not worth the money.

Hard Rock Amsterdam. Good food dito service. They should give this one a do over quick though. Everything looks kinda old and worn out. The friendly servers make the difference here. Serious downside is the smaller than usual menu. No pulled pork, no combo etc. Good but not a great Hard Rock Café.

Went there on a Wednesday in July around 1:30pm. Plenty of space to sit, both inside and outside. We choose the inside for temperature and ambiance of course. Waiters were very friendly(of course all English speaking, no Dutch!). We were served quickly. We had the Hickory BBQ Bacon burger(twice) and the Jumbo Combi platter. Quality was good although not quite excellent. In my opinion it’s over priced(burgers cost € 15.50). But then again it’s the best burger you can get. That is if you’re looking for an American style burger. The combo platter was very nice. Better than good. Definitely a place to go again although it is a bit pricey.

The nachos were delicious once again! HRC Amsterdam does not have as cool interior decoration as other HRC’s I’ve been to but the food is still great. We first grabbed a table on the terrace outside but there was a construction going on like 10 meters from the main entrance and the noise was horrid so we switched indoors. The waitress who let us change indoors was really pissed off about asking to get seated indoors though I thought she would understand. She had taken our order previous to this and forgotten I asked for chicken with the nachos so I was suprised when the portion came without the chicken. The nachos ruled nevertheless and didn’t miss the chicken :) My husband and I split the nachos and were stuffed. There definitely isn’t a need to eat anything else after you devour the nachos! The waiter indoors upstairs was very polite and nice.

What a great atmosphere! The staff here are super friendly and they all bustle around singing along to the music it’s great! I walked in to an enthusiastic greeting by a friendly staff member who showed me where to sit. My waiter was super energetic and friendly and where I sat had a great view of the canal. I ordered the hard rock nachos which is an appetizer but is definitely big enough for a meal for one. I ended up staying for a really long time(they have wifi) after my meal and never did I feel pressure to move on it was a perfect balance of checking in on my needs and letting me enjoy the view and unwind. The whole visit was a stellar experience from the staff to the food it’s a fun time for everyone!

Serviert wird Amerikanisch, also Burger, Fleisch, Ceasar Salad etc.
