Geflipt Burgers

Lobe this place. Not much hamburguers but its too comfortable and tasty. Ive just eaten the italian sandwich and apart from be too helthy was incredible. The different beers in that restaurant are awesome as well. I tecommend it.

Super Bad!!! The best thing is The Music… The guys are very very unfriendly and super slow. Unfortunetley i had a large piece of paper in The middle of my burger. So i asked for a New one. No sorry nothing. We paid and they said to me i dont have to pay for The first burger — how nice. By The way, the quality of the burger was worst, too. Totaly dead grilled meat, booring flavour.

If you like raw burgers with loads of mayo, this is the place for you! Worst burger place ever. Good service and decent beer, otherwise I recommend passing up on this burger joint. I felt incredibly sick after dining here.

I know, it’s madness. There’s another burger joint in the hood and to save my poor little tooties another little walk (I only saved myself walking three blocks. I know, madness), I settled for a burger here instead.
First off, it was probably because of the day we went rather than it always being the case but the service here was a little short. We stumbled into the burger joint, in the biggest group ever (could have been a gang, but a fabulous one mind you) after an exciting afternoon watching Pride unfold on the canals and it looked as though everyone within walking distance appeared to have the same idea.
What was amazing was the little seats they had set up outside for solo /​duos which I thought was pretty great!
Onto the service, because there was so many of us, you could tell the staff were a little stressed. And whilst some of us were at the start of the line, a few also in the same group were told they’d be waiting 30 minutes or more for their burgers (in the end, it worked out to be about 45 odd minutes).
And then the burger itself! At this stage, my poor little belly was eating itself from the inside from having waited so long, so I was glad to be able to finally sink my teeth in. Drum roooooooll pleeeeease! Ding ding ding! It was a pretty good burger! It came with bacon (+1), pickles (+1), fried egg (+I’m still undecided about this) and gooey grossly melty cheese (+1) and a decent sized patty with all the standard extras.
The problem though with a sweet-​ish brioche-​like bun though and all the juicy extras, is that by the time you’re half way through, your fingers resemble that of a butcher so I ditched the soggy coating halfway through but hey, who needs the extra carbs? Not me. especially because I needed that precious stomach space for the side of frites I ordered.
I’ll definitely be back again when it’s less crazy out and about, as there is a lamb burger on the menu with my name on it! So onwards until the next time.

I don’t know why but if there’s one word that pops into my mind when thinking about this place, that word is ‘efficiency’
This is the kind of place that does one thing and does it well: burgers! They are fast, they are big (the burgers), they are small (the space), and they managed to get a really cosy atmosphere in a crowded street, in contrast with the Albert Cuyp market right next to it.
Parting thoughts:
— tooo much caramelized onions, cut those down, they’re not supposed to overwhelm the burger flavour
— the fries are supposed to be just fried, not crusted. Damn, I felt like I needed Neptune’s Trident, my wussy fork kept bending. I had to resort to barbaric eating strategies #eatWithHands

We found out the hard way that they DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS! unusual but great burgers and a good selection of beers. Thier regular burger has bacon and a fried egg and is quite delicious. My had the lamb burger which had red onion, feta and a salsa verde. Yum. Fries were hot and crisp and cole slaw with raisins and cinnamon interesting. Lunch for 4 hungry travelers with 9 drinks and water came to 76 euros.

I love the place. One of my best hamburger places in Amsterdam.
The service is good and really fast! Gentle people help you always to choose the right meal!!!
Price is ok, the hamburgers are really big and normally I cannot finish my potatoes!!!
Great quality and they pay attention if you ask for a well done meat.
Normally it is pretty full almost the 7 days in the week. Go with time to wait for some minutes till you get a table.
Now the small terrace is a plus for summer dinners.

The burgers are really great. Tasty! Even for the vegetarians there is a burger option. Yes, you guessed correct: the vegetarian burger has no meat ;). Love the fries too

Nice neighborhood burger joint perfect for satisfying that burger craving! Had their veggie burger and boy it was yummy, had a great spiciness and flavor to it– would definitely order it again along with the coleslaw.

I don’t have much to say about the place. It’s a burger joint, yeah? It’s a small and simple place, and the burgers are great. I got the Geflipt burger; meat, cheese, fried egg — the basics. Hell was it good. The chips are pretty great, service was friendly, and the burger was a burger — not a sad sack of cooked meat between bread, but like a proper burger.
I would go here again for meaty goodness.

The «Geflipt» burger…1 word: Massive! Tried my best to eat it with just my hands. But no luck, had to switch to knife & fork. Big burger topped with a fried egg where the yolk just pours out with every bite. Experienced a couple minutes of burgerheaven!

While we were taking a day tour of Amsterdam we stopped here for dinner. The seating is sort of communal but it’s not an issue unless the place is too crowded.
I had the veggie burger and it was so spicy and delicious the fries were great too. The coffee was also very good, in Amsterdam they always serve you a little cookie with your coffee which is really awesome!
The restaurant had a clean/​classy/​modern/​somewhat enchanting look to it, it’s meant to be brightly lit by the sun on Sunny days.
This is a reasonable place to get a good burger while touring the city.

My husband and I went there for lunch on Wednesday. I ordered one of their standard burgers with bacon and cheese, but asked to omit the onions and eggs. This utterly baffled the waitress, who eventually told me the only way this could be achieved was to order a children’s burger and then add the bacon and cheese. Service was slow. My burger was totally hard and rubbery. Very overdone burger, beef tasted bad. Tried to get our waitress’s attention but she was more interested in eating fries, checking her iPhone and singing at the top of her voice. My husband’s chicken burger was quite raw. As we were on a tight schedule I just asked for the bill and told a new waitress, what we thought of the meal. To add insult to injury my children’s burger ended up costing more than their standard burgers, once they’d charged me for each additional topping. Paid 25 euros for two burgers and left. Why anyone would eat here when the fantastic Butcher is 5 mins walk away is a mystery, a mistake we certainly won’t make again.

nice place, great fries and great atmosphere. but it’s missing a better vegetarian burger! it was good, but not awesome.

One of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. Jalapeño chutney burger with fresh local beef, onions, tomatoes etc, artisan bun. Really great taste, texture and mouthfeel.
FIRST TIME doing the mayonnaise on the fries business. Until now thought it was kind of gross (I prefer my fries with exotic mustards) but now strangely I’m kind of a fan.
Small cozy place with large windows and young delightful servers.

Definitely one of the best burgers I have had so far in Amsterdam. The bread is good, the meat is juicy, fries and coleslaw delicious…
Also the place itself is very bright and they have friendly service. I will come back soon for sure!
