Great selection, prices are a bit too high for my taste. My girlfriend was a bit bereaved when she discovered the prices for womenswear. But apart from that, prices were actually not above what is expected from the area and assortment. Employees were friendly and helpful. If you like 2nd hand shopping, it is worth a visit.

There seem to be more than one of these Episodes around town. This one is pretty big for a thrift shop, but as others already mentioned most of the clothes are really old. Leather gloves were actually only 10 € and some adidas sambas in pretty good condition were 25 €. It’s loaded with cloths and seems near explosion but after a good dig you will eventually find a piece of gold.

Not a great thrift store in my opinion. Yes it has a large selection. Yes it smells like mothballs. It has a men section, but mostly just old ugly womens clothes. Lots of jeans/jean jackets/jean vests at this location. I noticed most of the prices were a bit steep for used items, like leather gloves for 50 euros? I understand they are leather but really? 50 euros? I just felt for the quality of most these good it was very overpriced and there was just stuff everywhere. You would really have to dig around to find anything of value. For me the smell, disorganization and ridiculously high prices would make me not want to come back.

Episode, one of my favourite vintage stores in town. Cool vintage stuff and also customized vintage. This is one of their two locations and both are great. This one is closed on Sunday though, because their aren’t any market stands at Waterlooplein on Sunday either. I always find great treasures at Episode. I like to go there and just search through their stuff. When I go with something in mind like«I need a sweater» I always walk out with something entirely different like a dress or something, usually something I do not need at all but is just really pretty/awesome. So this is a great spot for finding cool cloths you do not need but do want very badly. Staff is also very friendly!

After hitting up the other location in the Nine Streets and leaving beyond disappointed, it was a nice surprise to find some decent stuff at this location. I had been warned that Episode mostly carries stuff from the 80s and 90s, which meant that for someone who is permanently stuck in the 60s would be wasting time here. Not so! This location is a lot less chaotic, a lot more diverse, and much better coordinated than the other site. I scored two 60s-era skirts and some belts and I have plans to regularly check out what’s here. One skirt still had some light stains on it, and although whoever tried to treat it did a good job, it was still apparent. I wish I had asked for them to lower the price. That said, most of their items are in great condition.
