Ekoplaza

This was a pretty nice organic market a short walk from our rental apartment. Lots of space, not very crowded and very fresh produce. It had a decent selection of vegetarian faux meats. The market did not have a large selection of already prepared take away food which is surprising since it has a good sized sitting area in the front with tables and chairs.

This new organic supermarket recently opened in De Pijp and I’m super-​super happy!
it’s (obviously) brand-​new and pretty and nice. Lots of space in between the shelves. Well organized. I find it easy to find whatever I’m looking for.
It has everything you would expect in an (organic) supermarket, and more. I was particularly happy to see their vegetarian section which has quite a lot of interesting and convenient things. For example I love smoked tofu, but wasn’t able to find any in Amsterdam so far: they have four different kinds of it here! :) They also have organic wines, loooots of cheeses (but why am I surprised, this is the Netherlands after all), a bit of meat and fish, lots of hygiene and beauty products. If you’re looking for oleaginous fruits paste, any kind, I’m sure you’ll find it here! I mean almond, sesame, hazelnut, cashew, … and every single mix between the above mentioned!
You can enter from Stadhouderskade or from Tweede Jacob van Campenstraat. You can also pay and go out either way. You can pay with this nice and easy «contactloos» system! that’s awesome :)
