Eetcafe Mosveld

Mmmmmmmm! I really like this place. I went around 2pm but because everything is made fresh daily I was told to return after 5pm. I’m so glad I did! I ordered chicken schnitzel. One of the best I’ve ever had. They also had salmon, pork schnitzel, chicken satay and maybe one or two more items.
I’ll be back they are so nice an everything was very fresh.

Eetcafe Mosveld is one of those places you walk by all the time never trying… only to finally stop in for a meal and discover you have been missing out all this time.
Mosveld is what I would call a neighborhood bar/​restaurant.
Small. Understated. Friendly. Warm. The proprietors seem not to market themselves to the city, but just to be a favorite within the local neighborhood. Well, being here in Noord a lot over the years, I am happy to call the folks there friends.
Besides being a nice watering hole, the appeal shines even brighter with a sampling of a handful of local favorites. For the first time visitors, you are likely to get hooked on the wonderful Chicken Schnitzel (12 €). It is my favorite.
The Schnitzel is a generously sized chicken breast is served up perfectly fried in a delicate, flavorful breading. Better yet, it is covered with a ample dollop of flavorfully seasoned mushrooms and at last, a cup of light lemony gravy to ladle atop that is oh so good to further enjoy.
Alongside, you’ll be served a nice salad and a helping of frites.
A great alternative to the schnitzel that I recommend is the marinated roast pork loin. Tender. Juicy. Seasoned just right.
Or if it is in stock… ask about the salmon.
Both items served with the salad and fries.
Wash it down with an big ice-​cold Heineken draught and you’re all set.
A definite very strong 4 stars for the Noord neighborhood.
