Papa & Mama’s kids didn’t want to take on the shop… so they found a really cool young couple that did! The new owners find small wineries that they fall in love with and I always get great tips. The money? Nope! They are not that steep! It’s good, one of my favourite wines turned out to only cost € 13 …that’s good, cause I was looking for a € 50’ish cote rotie!!! They saved me. Well… saved me? I just came back to buy 4 boxes… Nope! I like’m. Loads. I’m a super fan! PS: they do deliver those 4 boxes of liquid yumyumness… If you look at them in a pregnant kinda way. Old shop:

Stopped in to get wine and beer for New Years. It was the closest real shop to the flat we had rented for a week. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, also first asking our price range. I was with my daughter, both of us are quite knowledgeable about wine and beer. We selected a Tasmanian cremant, a couple côté du Rhôné and a Rioja. I chose several Amsterdam beers to bring bsck with me to Seattle.(Yes it does sound a bit like coals to Newcastle, but it’s fun to try styles from different parts of the world.)

The service at this shop is great. They even have a system that tracks your purchases and will make suggestions based on your likes and dislikes. Half their selection is wines. The other is spirits. The one time that I purchased a bottle of wine there, recommended by one of the staff, it was terrible. A headache causing cheap table wine that cost 10 €. Their selection has a pretty good variety so if you know wine well you may do better than I did. For now, I will stick with purchasing spirits from them. They even have gift sets with samples sizes for their spirits like whisky tasting flasks. Nice.
