This year I decided that I was going to spice up my cooking style with some new recipes. One of the themes would be Indian food, since I am such a big fan. I wanted to create some new powerful dishes to my dinner menu. So, I stopped in Asiatic Super Market on Vanwou Straat. I came out with a bag full of groceries. If your looking to an ethnic super market in Amsterdam, then I would suggest shopping at Asiatic super market, it’s located near the Pijp. I was very much impress with their spices, herbs and wide selection of gluten free items.
This supermarket stocks general on grocery items, used primarily for ethnic cooking. For instance herbs, spices, rice, beans, sauces, frozen dishes, sweets and a variety of other items as well. What also struck my interest about this supermarket was the customer service. The extra customer service made me say I will definitely be back! I even had a conversation with the owner who was kind enough to educate me about several Indian and ethnic herbs and cuisines.
