The usual spot I hit up when I need groceries. It can be a but overwhelming for a new expat because there’s a lot of stuff. I’m usually in there with my iPhone out trying to translate stuff. It’s like the safeway of Amsterdam.

This Dirk reopened first week of June and I really like what they’ve done. The layout is great. Notables:
— fresh juice machine (yum!)
— free coffee and tea machine (ok it’s not the best but hey FREE coffee while you shop. i’m not complaining.)
— all the heavy item aisles are located next to the checkout area
Gone is the bakery that was at the front of the store. Oh well. No biggie.
