My girlfriend and I went to see the show as tourists and were a little disappointed. If you want to pay € 50 for bad drinks, deal with terrible staff, and soft porn, this is the play to go. My experience was less than satisfying. Don’t waste your time or money.

You’re already in the red light district, why not go to a live sex show? A little raunchy, but a definite good start to a night out in Amsterdam.

There are few of rites of passage in Amsterdam a tourist can choose from. If weed makes you paranoid or really understanding what those red lights stand for isn’t your cup of tea, the next thing on the list is to see a live sex show.
Well, at Casa Rossa for 50 Euro, you get two drinks and depending on who you are and who you’re with, it can either be the best money spent or the biggest buyers remorse on the planet. I (a straight male) was traveling with two other straight male friends so we saw one couple go to town on each other, sucked down our drinks, and were in an out in about 15 minutes when the show lasts 2 hrs.
I can definitely see getting more bang (see what I did there) for your buck if you were with your partner though. Especially you guys go halfsies on a Brazzers subscription. There’s several different acts that are as tastefully done as a show like this can be, the seats were stain free as far as I saw, and you do get those two drinks with your admission.
Overall a sneak peek for a few bucks just to say I’ve done it would have better suited my needs, but I guess it’s a pretty fair price tag to cross something off your bucket list.

Unfortunately, most of the show was just female «performances»…they inserted dildos into various orifices and otherwise just did erotic stripper-​y things. There are many store fronts with the casa rosso name, but only one with the large elephant billboard.
Casa rosso is an interesting theatre, with a pretty expensive ticket € 50 or (€ 47,50) if you buy from the tours and tickets business around town. You get 2 drinks and they have a fairly decent open bar of selection.
The show has a variety of acts lasting around ~60 mins before it recycles. Each act is around 5 – 10 minutes, and there are single performers and couple performers. Occasionally some acts will draw people from the audience to participate.
This place is raunchy and very fun to watch and experience. It’s an experience unique to Amsterdam and is much much more than just a strip show, it’s a live sex show!!! Only gripe is that it was pretty costly…
We went at around 9pm on Saturday, which was a great time to go. There wasn’t too big of a crowd and we had options for seats entering the theatre. When we got out around 10 ish, there was a huge line waiting outside to enter.

So. I’m in Amsterdam, it is New Years and obviously we have to see a sex show. I mean come on — «when in Rome» right? Before traveling to the Dam I did a bit of research and found that Casa Rosso is one of the biggest/​best so I figured we would check this out. I also have some friends who visited Banana Bar (which they also own) and really enjoyed it.
You reach this main strip type area in the red light district and along one side of the canal there are about 4 different Casa Rosso buildings. One looks like a movie theatre, one is a tattoo parlor (weird right?) and then there is the place we went to near the sex museum. So we finally decide we are going to check things out and the man tells us they do a show every hour — so we think perfect! We have 7:45 dinner reservations so we can «bang» this out before we head back to our apartment.
Ya… so we pay the € 50 each which includes 2 drinks per person then the strange little man tells us to follow him and we start walking. At this point we are really confused because the building we were standing in looked like a theatre. So we decide to continue following the creepy man who has locked arms with the other girl in our party telling her about «all the sex» we are about to see. I swear he mentioned something about a monkey too… Then this hugeeeee (and I mean like 8ft tall huge) dude joins us walking. Honestly, I am not trying to be rude but I think he played a character in Harry Potter. So there we are walking around the red light district with the tiny creepy man and the huge creepy man when they lead us into the seediest place I have ever seen.
So there we are in this no name sex shack totally weirded out. We try to just hang in the back to see what happens but they tell us we have to sit down. of course the only seats open are in the very 1^st row where you can literally touch the stage. I wasn’t sure if I’d need a splash guard or what. So we are now up close and personal with this huge screen playing porn as very loud Beatles music plays still trying to figure out how we got there in the first place… The 1^st girl was cute, the couple was totally weird and choreographed, then the last girl was 100% a crazy meth head who just walked back and forth naked for 20 minutes and I was scared she’d kill me if I looked her in the eye. (I have seen Breaking Bad after all).
This is what I figure happened — the guy who led us there told us shows every hour… well Casa Rosso doesn’t do shows every hour. Casa Rosso does nighttime shows so what we paid for was the night show at Casa Rosso but we got coned into going to the seedy daytime «performance» for free. I did read about taxi drivers doing this to tourists but I wasn’t expecting someone working in a Casa Rosso booth to con us crazy tourists.
Later on that evening we decided that we should do check out the legit show and at least get our free drinks out of it, I even got a penis shaped lollypop. The actual Casa Rosso show was really cool and much more couple friendly (aka no guys with backpacks on their laps). The show was also very choreographed and it did feature the same girls we saw in the weird day time show. luckily I was much further from the meth head this time. There is a long line when you get there so we didn’t think we would get in but it moves along and they pack a lot of people into the theatre (we sat in the balcony area).
Overall — check out the legit nighttime show but just walk away from that weird daytime show…

Had a great time here! I think we paid 50 euro for the night which included 4 drinks. (I suggest going to a bar for a drink or two beforehand too) The rotation was about an hour or 90 minutes. It was just something that we’ve never experienced here living in the states! I’ve been to my fair share of strip clubs, but this takes it to a whole new level, in my opinion. My roommate was a little nervous throughout the whole thing, but my other friend and I got a kick out of it. The workers are extremely nice, I had drunk conversations with them throughout the night. The owner actually let me feed the beautiful swans in the canal when we left!
I believe you need to experience a sex show 100% while in Amsterdam and this is a nice place to do it.

So… yeah. I went. I mean, you’re visiting Amsterdam, so you HAVE to go to the live sex show, right?
Pros: It’s people fucking on stage. It’s captivating. You can’t look away. One of the dudes was literally doing breakdancing moves while inside of his partner. That’s impressive!
Cons: One of the guys couldn’t get it up. No one looks especially excited or into their performance. You’ll shell out 50 euro (but you get two drinks) to see it.
Honestly, it’s an experience, that’s for sure. I wouldn’t come here looking for a particularly «sexy» show. I’d go out of sheer, morbid curiosity.

Its as everyone says. Live sex shows, the acts rotate every hour and a half or so. The theater is movie style, one main aisle way to very upright seats with no leg room. The actors are alright, a little robotic. Girls you get a penis shaped lollipop! Entry fee was a tad expensive, but I get to say I’ve seen the show now?

i agree with all the other reviews on this. it’s quite an experience, a must-​do. inside really just looks like a small theater. some of the girls have interesting talents but most the couples aren’t very into it. they looked slightly bored during the act… yes i would be bored too but can’t ya pretend? expensive!

Visiting Amsterdam’s Red Light District was on my bucket list. So my love and I decided to venture through the small city block of adult entertainment, girls, and adult stores. Through word of mouth and cross reference of a Lonely Planet travel guide we decided we would check out Casa Rosso.
We entered on the 4 drink entrance fee… paying roughly 40 euro each. Casa Rosso’s reputation proceeded itself, so we were expecting the unexpected. I must say, the place was not as sleazy on the interior as we anticipated. A DJ worked the growing audience by changing the music to get the crowd moving prior to the opening of the curtain.
Casa Rosso’s interior had theater-​style seating with two levels. My strict religious upbringing, of which I’d abandoned for years, decided to resurface and nag at my conscious. But hell, I’d paid to get in and the alcohol was included, so I compromised with my conscious and settled in a seat on the upper level farthest from the stage.
Watered down drinks… ugh. Not worth the extra money to pay for the drinks. We settled on beers instead because it’s pretty hard to mess up a draft beer. Aside from the actual main event of the show, a few girls spotlighted some of their *cough* abilities.
A large group of business men sat in the front row. One of the more limber girls received a standing ovation. Ha!
Not much more to write about this place without you experiencing it for yourself.

The Casa Rosso in Amsterdam has a reputation. Too bad this rep is based on shows from back in the days. Nowadays it’s all very ‘clean’. And with that I mean that ur sitting in a theatre and the curtains go up. What follows is that u see a turning bed with 2 people fucking like they were robots… nothing sensual about that. 30euros is a bit expensive but you can stay and watch as many 10−15min live sex shows as you want. After about 4 – 5 shows I was ready to leave… but it’s one of those things you have to experience when you are in Amsterdam!
We went there on a Sunday night around 9pm and there was a small line there but we only waited about 10 minutes max. There is also an option to pay 45euros which includes 4 drinks… but we didn’t really feel like staying that long so we went with the no-​drinks option~
