We stopped in for a quick bite, beers and whiskey(Jan. 1st or 2nd, 2014) one night after the Rijks Museum. All the staff was nice and spoke English. Had spicy burgers, which were pretty good but a little tar-tar. I recommend asking for them medium well or well done if you’re not a fan of raw meat. Had the salmon pasta which was yummy, but just spaghetti noodles, so don’t expect fancy-shaped pastas. The vibe is laid back and cheerful, and they were playing a variety of American genre music(which I don’t necessary prefer when visiting another country). It’s a good little spot to hang with friends, and we could hear each other talk! That was a plus! They also have a very cool Paris clock I’d like to have stolen and put in my suitcase!

A bit expensive, but what isn’t in Amsterdam? Coffee shop vibe with table service, great multi lingual waitresses, and a good sized menu with multiple beef, ham, bacon, salmon, and chicken options. It’sclose to the hard rock café, comedy club, alto jazz club, and local shopping center. Warm inside with heat-bulbs in some fixtures, with two tv’s inside featuring sports and politics, with quiet down-tempo music playing in the background. Family atmosphere, no drugs allowed.

Oei, wat een ouderwetse ‘tourist trap’. Peperduur, trage en onkundige bediening. Hele slappe koffie(echt verdunde senseo) en bovendien half rauwe, in niet warm genoeg vet waarschijnlijk, gebakken patat. Mijden dus!
