GREAT food. Real food at a pub. We had lentil salad and kale gnocchi. The prices were very reasonable(for New Yorkers like us). However, the cider beer is different than what I expected. It is not sweet at all… fairly sour with lemon taste

I only had tea here so can’t speak for the food, but the vibe is lovely and staff friendly! Very nice!

Want to grab a beer while enjoying a picturesque view? Have some goat cheese or a steak and a little wine with friends? This spot was one of my favorites in Amsterdam. It’s very centrally located and seems to have many local people. We met a bunch of people and got great advice as to where to go on our trip. One local person even had a beer, jumped onto a boat behind us, and drove off into the sunset.

Excellent local jaunt with a fantastic seasonal menu. So good I went back twice. Very much a crowded scene on Friday and Saturday night, so if you want to eat go on an off-day like Tuesday. I travelled alone so i was happy to see they had free wifi and I was able to get some work done. The first night I had a nice pasta dish with prosciutto. The second night U had the baked Cod with chorizo. Hit the spot! Great Table service is available in the back past the bar. Also: extremely cute waitresses. Doesn’t hurt. Ok, that’s it!

Nice brown bar with a decent selection of beers. There is also self service tables out next to the canal. Be careful not to fall in, the table is literally right on the edge! Inside they had pinball machines! If I go back I will have to try for sure. They also happend to have live music the day we were there was all. A nice touch.

I visited this place to have a glass of wine with a friend of mine. I leave around the corner yet i never had visited it before. In a few words … I had better. The service only extended for the inside of the café so you had to go and order pay and carry your things outside yourself. Since it was a good evening we decided to have a bottle of white wine Chardonnay to be honest. It must have been one of the worst wines i had ever had in my life. I only managed to have two glasses. The positive side is that you can sit right next to the canal and enjoy your café or drink

Good beer, outside tables for the warmer months, and an excellent menu that changes on a pretty regular basis. I had a gnocchi with kale, nuts, and cauliflower which was really delicious. Unfortunately, like all bars in Amsterdam, this places closes too damn early.

The best Sunday jam session in town. 4:30−7. If you you want to hear the music come early. By 6 it’s crowded. Usually there are seats in the back but it can be hard to hear there sometimes. There are plenty of good beers. There are tasty snack and a full lunch and dinner menu. The food is good and there’s always at least one vegetarian option.

It’s nice over the summer because there are tables right next to the canal but I’m not sure how nice it is on a cold day. The place is very narrow and a bit loud to eat in. The table inside which I sat at was sticky. Servers were friendly.
