I came here one Sunday morning to have a coffee and breakfast by myself while I started a new book. It is quite a big place and I can imagine would be a fun place to be for dinner or drinks in the evening. There are a few rooms in the back with nice ambiance. I took one of those rooms since it wasn’t too busy and so I could have a little quite. There was quite a few kids in there which I was surprised to see, but possibly because it was early morning. I had the egg benedict, which was very fresh and unlike others I have had. The sauce was fresh for sure and it sat on a piece of white toast with salad greens around it. Like having an eggs benedict salad which was fun. There was also free wifi which was great and helped me get a little work done while I was waiting. Very nice for businesses to have this. Will be making a return trip to try out the lunch or dinner menu.

I enjoyed a nice breakfast here. I had a Boerenomelet met boerenbrood e 8,50. It was an omelette with cheese, olives, potatoes, red onion and maybe something else. It came on a very large thick piece of wonderful brown bream that seemed to have been grilled. It was delicious and satisfying. My coffee verkerd was also good. My brother was less satisfied. He ordered: Oeuff Benedict(boerenham) 8,00 It was more like a hard boiled egg on grilled white bread. He asked for fresh orange juice and was told the fruit man hadn’t come in, so he settled for bio apple sap in a bottle. The place is really spacious and roomy. The service is friendly. It seems like a great hang.

Spacious, stylish brasserie on Ceintuurbaan. The menu isn’t too large, the prices are a-ok and the food is good.

I. am. obsessed. with De Pijp with IQ Creative’s NL outposts(why doesn’t this translate to Supperclub?) with Concrete design bureau’s concepts with Chesterfield sofas with study rooms complete with fireplaces with free wi-fi with mosaic-tiled floors with comfortable restaurants that encourage laptop camping with all-day breakfasts with their Croque du Soleil(a delectable melted creation of courgette, aubergine and goat cheese) … so Brasserie Witteveen is okay in my book. I may or may have lived there during my short stay in Amsterdam.
