Boterham

ich bin nach den fünf Tagen ein echter Fan von amsterdam. auch die Cafés scheinen uns — neben den Supermärkten– Voraus zu sein. zwar gibt es in Berlin nun schon so einige Cafés die Sojamilch, Vollkorn und Sauerteig Produkte ganz frisch und eigens zubereitet anbieten, aber hier ist es einfach der Standard. so auch in diesem süßen Café. neben einem klasse caffe Latte gibt es sehr frische Sandwiches. man findet es direkt neben der Uni für Modedesign; es wurde mir auch über einen Local empfohlen;)

Free wifi (wie fast ÜBERALL) in Amsterdam genial zum Einchecken und bewerten.

It was a spontaneous breakfast date with my friend Polina, who lead the way to Boterham.
‘Boterham’ in translation from Dutch is a ‘sandwich’, so their specialty are whole wheat breads with different toppings and spreads. The baked goodies are also really nice, especially the chocolate cookie, which is perfectly crispy outside and with mouthwatering liquid chocolate bits inside. Everything is said to be organic and home-​made.
But that’s not all, they also have a shop inside with mainly home accessories, which include ceramics and textile pieces of interior.
Boterham appears to be busy, but mainly with art students from the neighbouring school who just drop by for a coffee and snack to-​go.
Overall, Boterham is a nice place for breakfast or lunch in Sterparkbuurt where you can cozy up with your friends and enjoy simple but good food. Next time i probably gonna go for Makreel Mousse (Mackerel Mousse), which I didn’t feel like trying early in the morning this time :)
PS 4 stars for a bad coffee, which was quite tasteless

So: I love everything here! The place, cozy, simple. all the furniture and décor are for sale. The food that is simple bit very good (very dutch, as sandwiches), desserts are yummy (try the traditional scone and apple pie).
the place is quiet, we want to stay there all day.
Small negative for me, you can only pay by card dutch (damage when you’re a tourist or we forget the card) I hope it will change … but I would advise a roof the world go!
