When I did not have a kid yet, I was kind of annoyed by them noisefully overtaking the coffee bar where I was quietly enjoying my coffee. Now I am a mum and I have been brainwashed too, convinced of the fact this little bundle of joy and energy is all the world revolves around. So that’s when I found myself looking for«child friendly coffee bars»(laughing out loud at myself now). And that’s when I found Blender. Blender calls itself a kids conceptstore, meaning that the place as an idea behind it and is aimed at appealing a certain group of people/lifestyle. In this case: people with kids. It is set up spaciously with an area to have a coffee and something to eat, a play area for kids in the back and a shop to spend more money on nice stuff for kids AND mums! It is one of the first kids stores that actually offer something for the mums too. You can find nice clothes for your beautiful new body or healthy cookbooks to loose the extra pounds if you can not accept the former. The drinks and food we had were tasty. And the menu also offers food for the little mouths; all smaller portions. The play area is quite big, the only disadvantage is that it is located in the back, meaning you can only keep an eye on your kid when you are seated at one of the tables nearby. When we were there, Blender hosted a kids party. Nice idea for people who do not have a huge house or do not feel like cleaning up the mess afterwards. Good concept and nice place!
