The most important meal of the day is breakfast. And if it tastes good other it’s even better. And Berry knows how to deliver a proper meal!
This small place facing one of the many channels of the Dutch capital city (yes I’m deliberately avoiding to remember dutch names), managed by a young couple, serves freshly prepared breakfast. Nothing fancy, just a couple of cakes, a couple of hot dishes and some croissant and breads. Everything handmade, everything freshly prepared. And delicious.
It’s like going to a friend’s house and having breakfast with him, it’s just so relaxed, genuine and good it feels like a cuddle. Wonderful place.

The owner is a very friendly guy and the place is super relaxed.
You pay by pin, so make sure you have some cash in your account.

What I really like about Berry is that you feel welcome from the moment you enter. The owner is a happy person and because the place is small you could imagine sitting in a friend’s kitchen.
What I didn’t know when I wrote my frirst review: Berry is all about local organic food and the owner bakes the sweets following his grandma’s recipes.
And I have to mention the bread again: it’s not only perfectly crunchy but it contains walnuts, yummy! And the cheese is a great choice, not too salty and not too modest.
Berry is a total aanrader!
