AP Bloem

Alexander is an artist. A floral genius. I know there is a lot of talent in the flower department in the Netherlands so it doesn’t really say much to compare his shop to the garbage we have to choose from in the US. But I must. I find it shocking that the arrangements he creates he lets go for the very meager prices that he does. In America we would pay 4−10x as much for something not nearly as beautiful. It’s a shame I don’t have pictures to post but will be sure to in the coming future. He delivers weekly to a gallery in the spiegelkwartier and it brings me ever renewed joy to see his new creations every Monday. I brought an arrangement of his flowers to someone mourning their lost loved one. The funeral director happened to be there (who most probably sees many, many flowers) and said that she should probably have *this* florist do the flowers for the funeral. A bit of a somber example, but a solid testament to his work. Bravo :)
(And in a very cute shop in a convenient location, I may add)
