Wanting to find a nice token from our Amsterdam weekend, we sought out Amsterdam Antiques Centre as a possible source
This indoor antique center houses a variety of booths /​stalls of vendors who have everything you could imagine: genuine Delft Tiles, Asian figurines, boxes, trinkets, glassware, porcelain, ceramics, jewelry, gold, silver, furniture, original paintings & prints, mirrors, clocks, ornaments, Bakelite, pewter, enamel, dolls, tin plate toys, pens etc, religious art, to mention only a few of the many collectors items… you could easily spend hours in here!
We were drawn to the Delft tiles as the Mr’s mom is a collector & not only did we find a tile she would love, we also got lots of tips from the nice vendors working there around places to visit & the must-​sees of Amsterdam
We overheard them offering touristy advice to others browsing around the venue as well — I’m sure they get asked these kind of questions a lot but they provided the info w/​a happy smile
Best part about this venue is the fact it is indoors — which came in very handy during the heavy rainstorm coming down upon the city
Reasonable prices & they will cut a better deal if you’re paying cash — we left there huge fans!
