I was amazed at how much freedom you’re allowed in this place, you can literally wander up to the goats /cows /pigs /chickens and try to pet them, pick them up, whatever you want. Even the little tiny baby goats! We also collected fresh eggs from the hens — they give you a cardboard box and a key to the laying boxes and you just DIY. They even have an OK café, and(this is weird, but kind of awesome) a big meat fridge where you can buy all sorts of cuts of meat. We went on a public holiday and even though it was(as expected) crawling with children, there was somehow enough space/noise distribution that it didn’t drive me crazy(I’m not a huge fan of large groups of children). This is just an awesome activity for a morning or afternoon. Easiest way to get there is by bike through the Amsterdam forest!

I love this place! They don’t have lots of different kinds of animals as you might have guessed. It’s in the name. It’s a goat centered petting zoo! You can see and play with primarily white goats of all ages. From super tiny ones to big ol’ ones with them big ol’ udders. They are all super adorable. I got a cuteness overload when I went there. You can see the goats, pet the goats, feed the goats, dance with the goats(although they might not dance back), Etc. Watching the small goats’ shenanigans is lots of fun. One of them followed me around so I couldn’t help but to pick him up and hug him(yes! I was allowed!!) and name him. I named him Melvin. I miss Melvin… The place is «deep» into the Amsterdamse Bos but it’s perfectly accessible by motorcycle, car or bike. The surrounding area looks great when the weather is nice in spring and summer. They also have an eatery with lots of goat dairy products that they make themselves. I’m an adult who went there without any kids but my own inner kid. No excuses! Just go and have fun! Great for all ages.

Beeehh, beeeeeeeeehhhhhhh, beh? Cute goats. Feed them, pet them and watch them jump up and down. It does kind of smell though. Best part: the giant pig. He is awesome.
