Food Apart from the regular card which includes sashimi, nigiri, California rolls and a couple of warm dishes from the kitchen(you can take a look at it online), there is a wide variety of highly interesting daily specials. Good sushi, nothing to take your breath away, but also nothing to complain about. No desserts(except for those of both liquid and alcoholic nature). Drinks A very broad choice of alcoholic beverages including Japanese sake, Japanese beer, domestic wines and a selection of japanised classical cocktails. Atmosphere They are called lounge for a reason, it’s a mixture of a sushi bar and a bar, which also serves warm food. I guess it makes sence that they serve izakaya style dishes here, izakaya being traditional drinking establishments in Japan. Staff Nice and helpful. Value for Money Invest in specials, for NZ$ 15 – 30 you get something far more exciting than NZ$ 15 – 40 sushi platters. Conclusion If you want to spend an exciting evening here, don’t go to have a dinner, go for a drink and don’t forget to get some food.
