So far, this is probably my favorite Wellington restaurant. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was quick. The ambiance is really cool: a couple of old houses hidden down an alley surrounded by a bunch of new and uninteresting buildings. Being at Havana makes me feel like I’m in an exotic faraway locale.

Had lunch here with a client. This neat little place it tucked away behind Cuba Street, but what a find. Amazing fit out, very funky. Had a selection of tapas for lunch. The wait staff were very knowledgeable and gave us great ‘directions’ on how to go about ordering. Food was top notch. Flavoursome, great combinations plus some great local beers on taps. Highly recommended.

Havana never fails to impress. Great food with a great cocktail and wine list. After dinner you can move next door to the bar for some live music, rum & a Cuban cigar!

Went for dinner with my parents and it was delicious. Tried several of the tapas dishes my favourite being the smoked beetroot and lentil dish. The tapas were quite large and was left feeling very full at the end of dinner! They had a great cocktail list which unfortunately I didn’t sample. The desert was amazing! Especially the Orange posset! Great service and nice casual atmosphere.

Discovering Havana Bar made me want to quit the day job, move to Wellington and work here — its an old house in the middle of all these apartment blocks near Cuban Street.
We only stopped off for a quick drink after strolling around Wellington for a few hours, but the wine list, food list and vibe was ace. It looks like it would be a rocking place after dark and I WILL BE BACK.

Amazing, special venue, where else would you find an old house nestled between apartment blocks with great drinks, friendly staff and fantastic music.
It’s cozy in here, like you’re at a house party.
Try the awesome cocktails the the restaurant next door.
