It appears the fro-yo trend from the States has finally caught on with at least two popping up on Hurstmere St alone in the last year — Yogurberry being one of them. As is to be expected, Yogurberry is super cheesy. There’s pink and white pleather banquettes, overly enthusiastic staff, a world map proudly displaying their stores around the world and emojis decorating the walls, but if I’m being honest, I kind of love it… in small doses. As for the fro-yo, it’s a help yourself arrangement. Grab a cup, choose your flavours(there’s about 8 flavours ranging from coconut to chocolate to taro), add your toppings and pay(it’s based on weight). I tried the plain and berry fro-yo with chocolate drops and berries as my toppings — I must say it was a winning combo. Was it the best froyo I’ve ever had, no, but was it enjoyable and would I go back, yes!
