First rate fish and chips at rock bottom prices. A real find in this otherwise touristy town. Fish was crispy and mild. It’s takeaway only, so grab your fishwrap & take it down by the waterfront to eat. Very pleasant.

We tried all of their fish: delicious! Crispy, freshly fried, and amazing.
Scallops: drool… These were perfectly cooked, tender and moist. We only got 2x, but wished we had ordered a ½ dozen.
Mussels: These were over-​cooked. They were OK to eat but we would not order them again.
Kumara chips: DELICIOUS!!! Kumara chips are delicious!
We ate here twice because they were that good. If you want a good cheap meal, come here!

Great fish and chips. The choices are great: a handful of different fish, and several varieties of chips. I had Blue Cod with fries. The kumara was really tasty though. I’d get those instead of regular fries (chips). The fish fillets are large and one will feed most people. Half order of chips was decent. I could have gone for a little more of both.
This would be a strong 4 stars if all the little extras didn’t cost $.30. Ketchup, $.30. Lemon, you got it, $.30, etc.
