The staff were friendly but the food was shocking. I gave up trying to eat mine. I should have known when one of the waitresses said «here’s your steak knife you’ll probably need it». Awful place.

Not a good experience. Sports bar at the front makes the attempt at a quirky rear end 1980’s scene a bit of a joke. The food was overcooked and greasy. Adding two extra items to the bill at the end topped off a pretty bad experience all round. Won’t be going back.

This was our first visit at 1981. The waitress was very friendly and informed us of the «Specials». I asked if I could non alcoholic version of one of their cocktail’s, she said no problem.
We had the garlic cob for Entrée. For Mains, My wife chose the Steak & Kidney pie with mash. I had the sundried tomato and feta cheese stuffed chicken fillet. My wife said it was the best pie she had ever eaten. I really enjoyed the stuffed chicken too.
The décor brought back lots of memories.
