A nice enough café, I wouldn’t fall over myself to rave about it though. We shared the vegetarian frittata and corn fritters — in my(humble-ish) opinion, the fritters were too thick and soggy. Location is lovely and is a great place to chill out though.

Overlooking Days Bay, Chocolate Dayz café has a picture perfect location. They offer easy to please, comfort food which it bound to suit everyone. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed when we arrived, but the homemade paninis, bagels and quiches with a side salad are very reasonable for around $ 11. The locals have cottoned on to this tucked away gem as it is always ¾ full even near closing. The cakes and slices are worth a whole review in themselves. We shared the sticky date cake which was incredibly indulgent. Talk about value for money, we got a slab of cake, with ample sauce and of course a generous helping of cream(a kiwi necessity!). Washed down with a frothy and extra creamy thickshake I was extremely content.

Chocolate Dayz Café is one of my favourite cafes in Wellington. It has friendly staff, amazing views and good food and on top of all that your coffee is made with great barista. You can just have an excellent coffee for a short break or stay there longer enjoying the atmosphere, people and food, actually I wrote most of my MBA research project report there a couple of years ago. And I go there as often as I can. If you need to boost your creativity, get rid of writers block or just have fun with your family and friends this is the place to go. I love it, I love Days Bay and I love the smiles there. I have never seen a grumpy face in this café.

Causal café on Days Bay offering a nice view of Wellington Harbor with great food. The tandoori chicken salad with mango chutney and the mushroom + haloumi melt were very well done.

Where do I begin! This place has been a solid rock of fantastic Karamu coffee, espresso, soy etc for years. It compliments its amazing food, sticky date cake, carrot cake, slices and many lovely NZ things like date scones. The kitchen menu is also great with fish and chips, pancakes and many great goodies. A smoothie is recommended here too. I love it all. The staff are great, really nice and good at making coffee. You can sit indoors or outside with many different seating types, views of the ocean and local art.
