Cosy little spot and great food, Peppered Scotch with Mushroom Risotto is a must have! Plus the Head Chef is the Man!

We had an earlier booking at another restaurant that fell through, so after a bad start to our evening we decided to look for another restaurant close by. I remembered the Wine Box as a great place to eat and reasonably priced. We rang up just after 7pm to check if we could get a booking for 7.30pm and were told it was fine. When we turned up, the service as always was wonderful and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Not to mention the great ambience which is always cozy. Being rather hungry, we asked about the wait on the food which wasn’t very long. Once we ordered, the food came very quickly. In saying that, they weren’t that busy. The food as always was fantastic. We ordered the chicken pizza (yummy cream cheese and sweet chilli sauce) and chicken fettuccine (yummy tomato based sauce with chicken specially spiced) with a side of chips.
What had started as a bad evening turned out for the better. This is one restaurant I am more than happy to go back to again and again and always keep in mind as a backup.
