Good coffee, pretty good food and friendly service. Veggie breakfast was OK(salad leaves on top of the scrabbled eggs seemed odd and unnecessary) and fairly good value, whilst the bacon on my partner’s Bene was rather sweet. Overall, a good local café but not one you’d actually make a special trip to visit.

Love this café, great selection of food a bit pricey though. But overall a great little café

Really good people and service ! My favourite is lemon coconut cake with soy latte … Enjoy the sunshine with lovely yum food. That’s life! isnt it :)

This is a great place to go for a quick coffee and the food is pretty darn good too. However it’s really small place and often doing the weekend you won’t be able find a place to sit. Overall I think it’s a good place to visit for a quick coffee but not so much fun to go for the ambience. I still love going here because they do really really good coffee and food

These guys are still great! — and deserved an update to encourage some Aucklander’s to get out there and pay these cool cats a visit… plus a ‘lil birdy told me they are expanding with a new venue not too far down the road… for those of you who are unaware, they were the original owners/creators/chefs of ‘Salvation Kitchen’…

Very cute café opened by the original owners of Salvation Kitchen in Avondale. It gets pretty busy on weekends but I’ve always found the turn over pretty quick. They have an al a carte menu as well as a delicious array of cabinet delights. I went for breakfast with some people; I ordered the sticky rice with mango and coconut cream(didn’t get a photo of it unfortunately). I really enjoyed it, not too sweet and a nice texture. It was cool to see something a little bit«different» on a predominantly European/bistro menu. they don’t have a website but here’s a link to their facebook:
