Swagat Indian Cuisine

Tried this place because we were hankering for some Indian food — the review for this place seemed pretty good. The three of us decided to splurge and get the Banquet tasting menu — 4 types of curry, rice and an assortment of appetizers

The curries we got was Butter Chicken, Rogan Josh, Vegetable Korma and Chicken Vindaloo.
Unfortunately we found the dishes not to our palate — I prefer my Butter Chicken with a bit more tomato flavor and the Rogan Josh was too salty. The samosa from our starter was a too big of a portion — it seemed to be under cooked and under seasoned, the potato filling was really bland and the pastry was not crispy.
The cool thing about this place was the curries were re-​fillible — not sure if this only applies to the Banquet Tasting menu though. and you definitely need to try the Mango Lassi — the most delicious Mango Lassi I have tasted!

The best Indian food on the North Shore. They do a great lunch special for $ 10, and have discounted meals Monday to Wednesday. The owners are very friendly and helpful which always makes for a great dining experience.
