Wayne Jeffers is a manufacturing jeweller and during the day you can see his beautiful designs in the window. The pieces all seem to have an Art Deco aesthetic which is just my style so when I needed my wedding set fitted and resized I thought I’d give this place a go.
The price was what I’d expected to pay (if not a bit less) and the work took only a few days. I expressed my concerns regarding the stability of my antique engagement ring and Wayne really knew his stuff and put my mind at rest. Well mostly — he told me that occasionally old rubies explode under pressure which just can’t be helped. Eek. My ruby was fine. Phew.
The end result was perfect and I would highly recommend this jeweller to anyone, whether you’re after a custom-​made unique piece or just a repair or refit, this place has the kind of old school local values that are so rare these days.
