Looks like they have new owners, waited 35 mins for a very average meal considering the price

In my opinion, Latin Larder gets far less attention than it deserves. I’m guilty of it too — often opting to go to TBC instead because, well, it’s easy. But in truth, I enjoy Latin Larder more. They have this beautiful garden /shelled courtyard out back that makes you feel like you’re somewhere in the south of France — it’s blissfully quiet. The atmosphere is relaxed and the chef often comes out and chats with customers. The menu changes regularly but always has interesting options as well as the standard breakfast fair. When I was there last I had a breakfast wrap with scrambled eggs, salmon, avocado and rocket. It was well-seasoned and the wrap was soft(but potentially not made in-house). The unassuming café is great alternative to some of the well-known options in the area — just good food, made and served by lovely people!

A hidden gem in Takapuna. Sit out back in their sweet enclosed garden of Eden with loads of herbs, flowering plants, and even a fig tree. Their breakfasts are tasty — try the eastern eggs. Their apple/date/coconut muffin is possibly the best muffin I’ve ever had.
