I like this one, very much like a typical little French resturant have some seats outside. It is French. I like the atmosphere, simple deco, food menu. So I go there quite often. Nice authentic French resturant.

A French café serve fresh bakery… I love their almond crossiant. especially when it’s straight from the oven in the morning… my goodness! Today I meet up a friend there because I claimed an offer on Facebook(2 crepes for the price of 1). valid on Monday and Tuesday till end of July! We ordered salted caramel with vanilla bean ice cream, it is Very Very good!!! I will definitely go back for more next time I crave for crepes! Yum!

It has been said by many already but both food and coffee at this café is top notch. I was looking for a late lunch and with the all day breakfast menu including fish cakes I was spoilt for choice… Attention by staff(dashing French men) is a bonus, promptly taken to a table and my order for coffee was delivered and the coffee is great. Portion size perfect for a late lunch. A family group of varying ages arrived and they to were quickly seated and orders taken will little fuss. It will be a pleasure to return to this café.

The best pastries ever. I keep trying to order something else but seriously, just can’t go past those bloody pastries. Total archilles heel. My go-to is their egg and prosciutto quiche which has beautiful pastry and a refreshing hit of citrus, but equally as good are their croissants. Paired with a coffee and you’ve got the breakfast of champions.

I like pastries but don’t like these be too sweet. Before came here, I expected a slice of cheese cake and a cup of americano. Somehow they do not serve cheesecakes. So I changed to a chocolate and a kind of bread thing. I want to say that this French style café is just what I need. Hot chocolate was full of coco flavor but not too much sugar in it. The dessert I had was more than expected, which was stuffed with hot-melted strawberry jam(I think it was). I ll back here for a Sunday brunch.

I love that the servers here are actually french. I love how our waiter gave us the options for three types of water, and more so, love the accent(«spah-kling, steel, ou taap»). The food was on a higher price point, but definitely did not disappoint. We were thinking we’d order pâté in addition to our food and the server warned us it would be a lot of food. He was right. I had the big breakfast«pour madame» and left feeling like my gut wanted to bust(but without the lethargic heavy/sick feeling). I’m not usually into greasy breakfast food, but this left me feeling like I started a long action packed day off right.

I’ve been here before it it was awesome. But and there is a but, waited 30 minutes for my order of food. The waiter was very apologetic and gave us our coffee and beer for free because of the wait. Apparently the order never reached the kitchen. Can’t be perfect all the time right? Even though I had to wait, the food as always is consistently good and coffee also. If your at Britomart and Mexico is packed, head here.

Hey! For a very fancy french café, this place was actually great! I’m not a super fan of fancy-schmancy places since I feel like there’s usually a snobby vibe(maybe given the way I dress sometimes), but the atmosphere here was awesome. The indoor deco suggest a very high-end place but the prices were decent! Came here for a breakfast. The coffee was great. Toasted muesli was great. Service was great.

Wow. Just wow. I visited here for the first time today, and I was blown away by the service. Never have I been to a café with such an attentive waitress. She brought water to us without asking, and kept filling it up whenever it was empty. The people serving us food at the counter were equally nice and some were actually French, which was a bonus! The coffee was delicious and I also had a tasty chocolate macaroon — just one of many of the colour co-ordinated, different flavoured macaroons they had on display in the cabinet. I was so tempted to get several pastries as well, but decided against such a fat inducing prospect.(so tempting none the less!) Sitting outside was a nice plan, as they had several trees outside you could sit under for shade. I also noticed they had a good selection of magazines and newspapers for those on a lunch break needing some distraction. Well, what can I say? Really, really impressed.

This little French gem is on Gore Street, the pastel coloured chairs outside matching the macaroons. There is a full breakfast and lunch menu as well as freshly baked french baguettes and pastries(unless I go early in the morning I miss out on the french baguette). The Coffee is consistently great here and the little Hershey’s kiss that comes on your saucer is a sweet touch(though I give my kisses away, not being a dairy eater). L’Assiette is easily one of my favourite coffee spots in Auckland and the staff are actually French!
