Rude. Sandwich wasn’t to bad but the fries and ketchup were awful. I wish I’d got the sandwich and walk to carls.

To find a satisfying bite to eat in the CBD can be difficult but the $ 5 kebab/​rice dishes really does the trick. Unfortunately I completely agree with Samantha C about the complete lack of customer service. There is a general lack of respect for the food and care for the customers and seating area (the rubbish bin is always overflowing). However, when I’m starving, want some veggies and something warm to hold and eat, I still find myself at Kebabs on Queen St. Just a note: some of there other locations have much nicer staff :)

Natürlich nicht perfekt, aber es ist zentral und günstig. Damit ist schon so gut wie alles gesagt. Einen Döner an Wochentagen für 5 $ ist echt gut. Leider gibt es nicht so viele Sitzplätze draußen und das Personal ist doch recht «routiniert» im Kundenumgang. Aber wenn man schnell und günstig satt werden will und vielleicht sogar das Essen mitnehmen will, ist der Laden empfehlenswert!

The main highlight of this place has to be of course the $ 5 kebabs and rice dishes that they offer during the weekdays. It’s nice to know that getting cheap takeaway is not only possible in Auckland CBD, but also with generous portions and tasty food to boot.
I really have nothing else to say other than to come here and try it out for yourself. The food is decent, just make sure to order quickly as they can get busy.

Complete lack of customer service. The food itself is decent but the rude service made my entire dining experience terrible.
We were trying to decide what to order and were asking the guy behind the cashier about specific menu items. Not sure if he was having a bad day or just downright rude, but he said (verbatim), «you have to hurry and choose because you are making me lose other customers»…da fuq ?!

$ 5 kebabs and rice dishes, all day, Mondays-​Fridays. Central location. Quick service. Tasty, tasty, tasty. And relatively healthy fast food.

Okay so I know kebabs are pretty standard; lamb, chicken, beef or falafel, salad, tabouleh, hummus and sauce. What makes this particular kebab shop different, however, is the price.
Kebabs on Queen at 300 Queen Street is one of a kind. During weekdays all regular kebabs are only $ 5!!! Such good value! My friends and I used to walk down from the university to get these kebabs specially.
This crazy deal means Kebabs on Queen are always packed and busy, however they are pretty good at dealing with long lines and at least it means your salad and meat is always fresh!
As one of the main Turkish food chain stores, Kebabs on Queen have perfected their craft and every kebab is a guaranteed good time.
Bonus: The rice dishes are also brilliant and are included in the $ 5 deal!
