Seriously disappointed. Missing good Vietnamese food, especially bun cha. They were out of spring rolls, so I went for the bun cha alone. It was missing the all important herbs. The pork was prepared only one way (no cutlets) and it was incredibly salty. I barely scratched the surface before I walked away. Pass on this place!

Hoped for a good phở. The first time I came I saw they didn’t accept credit cards, but came back today with cash. The Phở wasn’t like what I get back in the US. For me the most important part of Phở is the broth. This clearly wasn’t the usual 18 hour broth and did they didn’t provide Hoisin or sirancha to add. Also the noodles were odd. Not what I was hoping for.

I went to this place a couple of times and I am still surprised that it does not seem very popular. The lemongrass chicken was quite good, and I also tried their filled pancake with mushrooms and tofu. I took the small serving as there is choice between small and large and that was plenty for me.
But what I love the most is their rice paper rolls, although they could be more generous with the quantity of prawns in the prawn rolls. Grilled chicken rice paper rolls seemed to go down better and the dipping sauce is absolutely fantastic.
I can’t seem to find anything wrong with this place!

This spot is wack. They can do a passable Bahn Mi but if you’re after Phở, you’ve gone to the wrong place. It’s like lukewarm bath water and i’m pretty sure they just boil the jug and mix up some pre-​prepared packet noodles. Ponsonby Food court Vietnamese kills!

I was very sad when the bahn mi café on Lorne Street closed; where would I now find Vietnamese sandwiches, which just happen to be THE BEST? Well, Hanoi VIllage has bahn mi, but sadly they are not quite the same: pretty good, but not some sort of delicious taste sensation. This was possibly because I asked for them to make it with tofu rather than pork and the tofu was not so exciting. They also have a range of other Vietnamese dishes; the rice paper rolls are v. good and fresh. Apparently the phở is the dish to order if you like that. There’s no licence, and you have to order at the counter, so it’s not a fancy date night place, but the prices are cheap-​ish so it’s a good option if you’re looking for a cheap & cheerful in this part of town.
