The quality of medical care here is generally good, I have been a patient here for over 10 years. It is often hard to get an appointment and they seem to have a high turnover of GP’s — not sure of the reason for that. Also the nurses are very nice, caring and efficient. However, the BIG thing that lets this place down is the unfriendly receptionists. They really are old dragons and I can only assume they are either all very unhappy in their work or else they all have chips on their shoulders. No compassion, no cheery greeting — just a cold, steely glare is all they give. I am sure they are all very efficient and get the job done, but when people are sick/wounded/in pain etc, a cheery greeting and a smile can really lift one’s spirit. How about it?

This small medical centre way out in Drury is probably the best place that I have been for proper medical advice and care. It’s not the most exciting of buildings, but it’s the quality of the staff that is the most important thing. Every time that I’ve gone here, this place is very busy and bookings are pretty much essential, and even then be prepared to wait for a while. All of the Doctors and nurses that I’ve seen here are professional, friendly and caring people, and I haven’t experienced the treatment that I have received here from anywhere else. I often prefer to make the long drive from the city to go to a GP here instead of booking in at another medical centre around town.
