As always, great food, wonderful service from friendly staff. I have eaten here many times with friends and family(this is one of my kids favourite places to eat) and I will eat here many more times.

Dragonboat is a great central city Yum Char, great for a break in your working day. I was kindly shouted to a thankyou lunch by a couple of Directors from my work. I got to choose what we sampled and I have to say I am pretty good at knowing what I like and what I’d like to stare clear of eg, sinew or other unappetising offal. The service here is quick and frequent and the food on par with any other good Yum Char houses. I’ll be back.

Very authentic Chinese cuisine. Great service and very delicious foods. I’m very very surprise to have such a great Cantonese restaurant in Auckland. Very satisfy

This is a great spot to bring your partner or mate for dim sum if you are happened to be around Queens street. The service is topnotch and the food comes out fast and hot after you give them your checked order on a small piece of paper menu. The dim sum choices are limited but you will be satisfied by what’s available. The taste is better than average but for the price the portions are SMALL. I’d guess they have to make up for their expensive location. A group of 6 – 8 will easily run you around $ 200 or more. Oh, their toilets are very clean.

it’s never too early(10.30am) for a weekend session of yum cha. so much food kept coming out if the kitchen! I must admit I do like a good steamed dumpling and theirs did not disappoint. freshly made and piping hot, the prawn and coriander dumplings hit the spot. the skins of the fried pork dumplings were made of thick sticky rice, I think, the texture making them more delicious. their deep fried squid was a little too oily, but I’ll forgive them as the rest of the feast was very tasty. even though we were full by the end of our session, we managed to find a little more room to finish off with a sweet treat — egg custard tarts. all in all a very delicious meal complimented by friendly service.

Had a great yum char at Dragon Boat with some friends. Staff are courteous, service was quick and there was a good(bur not amazing) selection of dishes. Location is good if you are in the CBD and free parking is available upstairs at Atrium on Elliot.

We had the dim sum in the food court area that is attached to the main restaurant. The staff were friendly and explained patiently the different types of food we are not used to. This is very authentic dim sum and very tasty. We did not try some of the more exotic dishes like tripe or jelly fish. I’ll leave those to other adventurers.

This review is for the side bar in the food court. It’s better than others I’ve tried, so I come here instead. I order the same thing every time, Sui Mai, har gao, pork spare ribs, sticky rice parcels and a crispy taro thing you can buy by piece in the side warmer. All is good by me. It’s not the best but it’s decent and I’m happy with what I get. There is 1 hr free parking — entry is by hotel driveway on the street behind atrium, just grab a receipt for $ 5 or more from any of the shops and the office on lvl 2/3, I can’t remember which, will validate it for you.

I feel bad giving this review, I keep thinking maybe it was a bad day for them, but from what I’ve hard from others the experience is quite consistent. Dragon boat had bad service, very oily food and not a great selection(we went for yum cha). There is a little side counter that backs onto the mall food court where you can buy individual segments without the yum cha experience and so if you’re craving BBQ pork buns I would go there, this side counter saved dragon boat from a 1 star. Sometimes bad service can be attributed to cost savings, this wasn’t the case. The cost is directly measurable with other yum cha places and(I would say) a little more expensive due to its location.
