My local Indian restaurant, the kind where you’re greeted by name and often spot someone you know across the room. With $ 10 mains on Wednesdays, it’s a no-brainer. The staff are quick to take your order and even quicker to deliver your meal. They even get the spice levels pretty much to our liking, we like hot, but not Indian hot… just to be sure. It’s a large space jam-packed with tables and ornately decorated chairs on castors. It’s a little noisier these days since they replaced the carpet with hard flooring, but I’m sure it’s all the more fun for kids on those chairs.

I have to say I’m never usually impressed by Indian Restaurants. They generally are always the same and the food is what you expect it to be. However I have to say that this place stunned me by how good their food was! I was left feeling completely satisfied by my meal. Their pricing is great and matches that of those chain Indian restaurants. We paid $ 10 for our mains and there was plenty to go around with a lot of chicken in each meal. Their use of herbs and spices was amazing. This place is obviously using good ingredients! Friendly staff and a quiet atmosphere. The décor of the place is a little on the tacky side and there is quite a bit to look at. However the staff were friendly and readily available to help you. I am coming back for sure! Worth a visit if you want a good authentic meal.

Every time I get Indian food I order butter chicken. As my Indian friends would say it’s the classic ‘white person’s’ meal. But it’s oh so delicious how could you look past it. Especially at Chand! This restaurant is a winner on so many levels. It’s fancy enough to take someone on a casual date but also mellow enough to go in wearing jandals. And considering the prices are well on the affordable side the curry is delicious. And top points for their garlic naans! Some of the best naans I’ve tasted. It’s always a bonus to see the same familiar smiling faces when you walk in each time.
