Update: a woman there recently butchered my eyebrows so I’m waiting for them to grow out and will head to Benefit for the full treatment. I would still go as it’s only one woman that’s ever been a problem. However I can’t recommend as highly anymore. And if you have an important event coming up, don’t risk it.
I think anywhere that can wax your eyebrows for $ 5 has to be good, right? Now, obviously you’re saying that I’m crazy and that no one would do eyebrows for $ 5 in the centre of downtown Auckland, but you’re wrong! This place does! What it doesn’t do, however, is all the rest.
I love a good pampering, like any girl (or guy for that matter). But sometimes if my eyebrows just need doing, then I don’t really care about the fluffy pillows, the amazing products or the rest of the stuff that goes along with a $ 40 eyebrow wax. So if you just want in and out, this is your place.
They don’t take appointments, but you won’t be waiting long. And if you can go outside of a lunch hour, then it’s even better. Just remember, you won’t get any frills here. They will rip your hair out, thread the remaining bits they couldn’t get with wax (bear in mind, you could just have them threaded) and then say «Okay, you’re done now.» It takes five minutes or less, and they won’t even put any calming lotion on you. You must request that and do it yourself.
I’m more than happy to have my eyebrows done here, but I wouldn’t be looking at getting a brazilian if it’s the same kind of treatment. Given the proximity to my work and the ridiculously cheap price, I am totally willing to overlook frills for my eyebrows. And they work a great shape too.

Totally excited to find this place in Auckland, tucked away in a CBD shopping mall. Not only is it cheaper than in the U.S. (!!! amazing — everything is so pricey here!!), but the women here are effortlessly perfect in their threading. I’m used to the lip threading being horribly uncomfortable (causing sneezing, eye watering, etc.), but somehow these women seem to achieve the same results with a quick double pass. I have no idea how they do it — I keep expecting to look at it after and find shoddy work, but they are just total pros. Highly recommend.

Half leg wax costs… There is no need to book an appointment, you can sit and wait and you rarely wait for long. Waxing was as pain free as it could be. I go here on a regular basis. The service is quick and they can always fit you in for an appointment. I have had on occasion where eyebrows do not quite match but I have returned and they have corrected their error.
